President Trump, prompted with apparent last-minute inserts by fellow right-wing zealot Stephen Miller, launched one of the most bombastic addresses by a leader at the United Nations General Assembly rivaling possibly the one made by Hugo Chavez during the second Bush Administration. Even if the President is right on all the facts (and he is not), this is no way for any American President to act. The President of the United States, as previous posts have mentioned, cannot act like a Banana Republic Dictator. He (or she) has to be a role model to be respected around the world. Calling the leader of North Korea "rocket man" may win points from an uninformed and naive political base but will not achieve traction in the larger game of international relations. The Presidents advisors need to get rid of Miller and have to control the public relations game so this type of diplomatic disaster never takes place again.
