Yes we should let the Government shut down if a good deal can not be struck for vulnerable children.

With similar words that have been conveyed a few times over the last month, Progressives and Democrats should let the government shut down if a good deal can not be struck for vulnerable children in the C.H.I.P. and D.A.C.A. programs. What is a good deal? One that provides financal security and piece of mind to the most vulnerable among us that can not speak for themselves because they are children. Shame on all of us if our leaders can not get this right. As mentioned in previous posts, even the most conservative minded individuals in this country probably do not think the way to have a lean government is on the backs of our most vulnerable.  Those that feel that way, mainly in the Freedom Cacucus do not represent the majority of their party, let alone the country. The latest deadline to fund the government is January 19. Let us hope Republican Lawmakers finally see the light and do right by these kids.
