Mussolini, Hitler, Franco, Nasser, Castro are examples of strongmen that promised they could bring greatness or restore it to their peoples and countries. History shows how it turned out for these individuals and their nations to varying degrees.

Today, we have strongmen like Putin, Duarte, and Edrogen among others who, like the KKK candidate, who promise the same things their 20th-century predecessors did. If history is any judge, it will not work out for the people in those countries this time either.
