Idea of the Week
This weeks idea of the week is to make a law that mandates all our public servants volunteer at least two weeks in either a homeless shelter, a soup kitchen, a children's hospital. or a home for battered women and children so they never lose touch of the people that they were elected to serve. Recent actions like the proposed tax plan or the snails pace on helping the people of Puerto Rico or renewing the C.H.I.P. program demonstrate that a substantial portion of the people we elect have lost touch with what they were elected to do in the first place.
