This is why we need a Democratic Senate and why we need to support Doug Jones in Alabama.

With the filibuster rule for judges gone, Republicans have taken reactionism to new heights by holding hearings on some of the most unqualified candidates for the federal judiciary. Even the qualified ones are a nightmare that could signal a backward shift on the last 50 years of social progress. We have seen the etching  away of rights in campaign finance, union organization, and voting rights. We need a Democratic Senate to stop this drive to 1955 and we need to support Doug Jones against Roy Moore and his pathetic supporters who maintain that their enthusiasm for the former Alabama Chief Justice is unconditional, even if charges of unwelcome advances to minors are true. We do not want a person like Moore voting for lifetime appointments to the bench if these charges are true. He should not have that opportunity.
