A program that Democrats can run on that will appeal to the people should include:

1) Full Funding of C.H.I.P. with a provision that it will always be in place and funding will never be withheld.

2) Medicare for all that would be funded by an increase in the payroll tax

3) An increase in the Minimum Wage with a provision tying future increases to the annual cost of living adjustment.

4) A National Service Program where students can go to the first four years of college for free in exchange of two years of service to their community.

5) A National Apprenticeship program to train workers for the skills and careers of the future.

6) Tax Policies that call for
a) A Higher Earned Income Tax Credit
b) A Higher Child Care Tax Credit
c) A Higher Tuition Tax Credit for Graduate School
d) Higher Science and Research Tax Credits
e) Higher Alternative Energy Purchase Tax Credits

7) Full protection for Dreamers

8) A National Debt reduction program funded by a national sales tax of one half of one percent.

9) A National Infrastructure program funded by a progressive carbon tax.

10) Honoring and supporting the vast majority of law enforcement officials who do their duty in making our people safe.

11) Social Security Stabilization by raising the maximum amount social security taxes can be withdrawn on.

12) A foreign policy that promotes both globalization and American interests while protecting workers and our environment.

13) A national mission to convert our country from a primary fossil fuel dependent economy to a green energy one.

14) Political and campaign finance reform that installs term limits for officeholders and staffers as well as public financing of campaigns and a balanced budget amendment.

15) Taking the lead again in space and oceanographic exploration.

This is a program Democrats and Progressives can win on. They should embrace it.
