Doug Jones and many other candidates that have won unexpectedly this year have proven that Democrats and Progressives, when they are energized and have the right ideas, can win anywhere. It is time for Democrats to have a 50 state strategy that runs on a platform that can appeal to the moderate as well as the more liberal. The House in 2018 is definitely attainable. The Senate may be trickier but the enthusiasm seems to be on the Progressive side as well. From 2018, the 50 state strategy needs to be continually applied to 2020 and beyond. This energy can not wane. That happened in 2010, 2014 and 2016 and the country is not better for it. Progressives can never tire. It has to be a sustained push to move the country forward.
