He does like those dictators. They can be from Turkey, Russia, Egypt, the Philippines, or anywhere the leader has an authoritarian streak. Today the President called the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un (the man he once called Rocket Man)honorable. I guess it does not matter if you are a dictator that sanctions the mass murder of opponents (including a half-brother and an uncle) as long as you play nice with the President in nuclear negotiations. While this is not the first time a United States President has been laudatory to a repressive leader (Presidents embraced notable dictators like The Shah in Iran, Bautista in Cuba, Mao in China after 1972, and Pinochet in Chile), it does not make it any less nauseating. It does make one wonder why he is willing to do a deal with North Korea and yet abandon a likely similar deal already in place with Iran. Is it just because President Obama did it that he does not like it.
