Tennessee just made community college free for all qualifying adults and funded it through their lottery system.
Educators who staged a walkout in Arizona were able to start paving the road to properly funding schools by getting a raise for instructors and more monies for other needs like support staff while vowing to continue to fight for more appropriation through other methods like the ballot box.
Britain just went 55 hours without using coal as an energy source.
These events show that anything reasonable is possible and attainable if people put their minds to it, roll up their sleeves, and work hard to move their communities forward. If state and local communities can do it, why not our United States public servants?
