Rome is Burning and All These Yutzs Can Do is Say Hezbollah is Smart and Nominate Fringe Embarrassments for Speaker; At least Biden is Doing His Job

Another week. More reasons for voters to vote for the candidates with a D by their name in the upcoming elections in 2023, 2024, and beyond.

In the week since Hamas attacked Israel, what does the four-time indicted, twice impeached, twice David Duke endorsed, and two-time popular vote loser Mad King-Chief Republican Yutz do?

He compliments Hezbollah, the terrorist enemy of Israel in Southern Lebanon, calling them "very smart" while mocking Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Not just because he and his national security team missed the signs of the coming attack. It looks like they did along with perhaps their counterparts in the United States did as well.

He faulted Netanyahu for not combining Israeli assets with American ones in the targeted assassination of Iranian General Soleimani, another "very smart guy" according to the former White House occupant.

The main reason Mr. Trump is annoyed with Netanyahu and turning on him is because he recognized reality and congratulated Joe Biden on his win in the 2020 election.

The Mad King felt that for all the overtures his Administration did for Netanyahu like moving the United States embassy to Jerusalem and turning a blind eye to settlers terrorizing innocent Palestinians in the West Bank, "Bibi" as his friends called him should have returned the favor and enabled his false conspiracy theories about the election being rigged.

The Chief Executive Charlatan also blamed Biden for the Hamas attack from Gaza, saying this would not have happened if he was still in office and if the election was not rigged.

Yeah right.

While voters have to suffer Mr. Trump's lying remarks, they also have to endure the Republican House Conference whose continued failure to find a new Speaker that can receive the 217 votes necessary to hold the gavel is a lesson of what not to do.

Instead of looking for a mainstream governing candidate that may actually get Democrat votes to counter the MAGA ones that would not offer support, they nominate Steve Scalise first, a person who once said he was KKK leader "David Duke without the baggage" and is currently undergoing treatment for blood cancer.

That this person is currently the Republican Majority leader is a testament to how fringe the former Party of Lincoln has become.

Why did he not get to 217?

Because MAGA fanatics wanted the person who came in number two in the Speaker Race: Jim "What Sex Scandal Are You Covering Up" Jordan.

Two words: Dennis Hastert.

With Scalise out of the running, Jordan, knowing he is short over 50 votes, is working this weekend to shore up the votes needed to become the next Speaker.

If he pulls off this nightmare, the governing of this nation will take a giant step backward, and paralysis until 2025 may result.

With Rome burning and multiple crises like the wars in the Middle East and Ukraine along with passing a budget and addressing paramount issues like climate change, the Republicans should stop enabling these yutzs and select responsible leaders who can be reliable partners in governing.

Meanwhile...

President Biden is receiving praise for his leadership during this Middle East Crisis.

Read the below comments from the Washington Post Editorial Board.

"At a time when the United States, and the world, desperately need decency and moral clarity, President Biden has provided both. His words regarding the wanton atrocities Hamas has committed against hundreds of Israeli civilians, as well as many Americans and citizens of other countries, in the past week have been unequivocal. In remarks to a gathering of American Jewish leaders Wednesday, he described the mass murder as “sheer evil” and likened it to “the worst atrocities of ISIS.”

"In condemning the terrorism, and offering support to Israel’s military response, the president also reminded the new emergency war government under Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of its responsibilities under “the law of war.” These measured statements put the United States in just the right place: supportive of Israel but positioned, if need be, to influence and temper its response."

"In short, Mr. Biden has so far met the elementary test of political leadership amid crisis, as those who placed their trust in him at the ballot box three years ago hoped he could."

After watching Biden's speech supporting Israel and human rights and dignity for all, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak said on MSNBC:

Biden is a “moral beacon. And I should tell you that it’s very encouraging to Israelis to hear now, hear just how President Biden, I happen to know him for more than 40 years. I’m a half-year older than him. And it was a great speech, a great speech, not just as a American leader, as a leader of the free world, not just on statesmanship and geopolitics, but on a more, as a moral beacon, once again, standing clear and on the right side of history, on the right side of humanity. And it’s great encouragement to Israelis and probably a very good signal to our neighbors."

Finally, please view the Lincoln Project ads like "Strong in a Crisis" which compliments Biden's leadership and shows Israeli officials like Barak praising his support for the lone Democracy in the Middle East.

The project also released an ad called "Clear Choice" that ably showcases the stark difference, in their reactions to the Hamas invasion, between President Biden and embarrassment Trump.

The choice is clear. Wake up American People and make the right choice in the next local, state, and national elections. We do not need the yutzs in charge when problems need to be solved.
