Below are three interesting articles. I wrote the first one for Blog For Arizona. They are all connected to the same theme.
Democrats and Progressives need to come together with the people who feel we abandoned them (the white working class in the Rust Belt and our natural allies in the Religious Community who have always championed labor and civil rights), adopt a platform of pragmatic progressive policies and work their tokhes's off to make sure we do not repeat the horrors that were the election results of 2010, 2014, and 2016 (an election where the Democrats lost despite getting the most votes).
No region can be taken for granted. No demographic group can be taken for granted. No person can be taken for granted.
It is the sentiment that all Progressives and Democrats need to do is be on the right sight of the issues and the people will flock to the progressive banner that has badly injured the movement. Complacency and hoping the President morally self-destructs is not the recipe for victory. Progressives and Democrats need to passionately work hard this time to shepherd and convince the people of the righteousness of their ideas and dreams to move the country forward. To just be the Anti Trump party is not enough. The people need something to be for and believe in. If Progressives and Democrats can do that, there is no limit to what the people in this country can accomplish.
