This revised N.A.F.T.A. deal, as initially described, may be a good deal for the country. While all the details need to be revealed (like how closely it resembled clauses agreed to in the TPP deal) and the potential magnitude (and how different it is from the original N.A.F.T.A.) needs to be assessed, this agreement should not be discounted because it came from the administration of the popular vote loser.
The United States with its consumer on steroids populace will always be a beacon for other nations wanting to trade with us. It actually does give our leaders (even the bad ones) leverage on negotiations.
Only time will tell whether our current bad leaders negotiated effectively or were duped.
