Reaction to Charlatans Donald Trump and RFK Jr's Trip Down the Science Denying Brick Road With Regard to Tylenol Causing Autism

At a press event that rivaled his science denying-know nothing assertion that injecting bleach in your arm would stop the Coronavirus, Donald Trump, accompanied by vaccine denying Health and Human Services Maniac-Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid head Dr. Mehmet Oz, proclaimed, without much if any scientific evidence, that acetaminophen, commonly known as Tylenol, causes autism.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r0d3aV9qdsQ

Among Mr. Trumps most outlandish and mainly false comments during his presentation were:

  • "Taking Tylenol is not good — I'll say it: It's not good."
  • Pregnant women should "tough it out" without taking Tylenol and only take it if they are in too feverish or suffering from much pain. Spoken from a person who will never become pregnant. According to The Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine, in reporting from NPR, which recommends using acetaminophen to treat fever and pain in pregnant women, says that untreated fever can cause grave harms such as miscarriage, birth defects or premature birth, especially early in a pregnancy."
  • Comparing childhood vaccinations with "pumping it into a horse."
  • Asserting that the Amish Community and the people in Cuba do not have autism. They do.

At the press event, it was announced also that the chemotherapy drug leucovorin label, without undergoing the due diligence scientific review, would be revised so it could be prescribed to treat autism.

Dr. Oz, according to recent reporting had a financial stake in "iHerb, a California supplement retailer that sells folinic acid, the supplement found in leucovorin."

According to Newsweek, Dr. Oz reported that "he might keep some of the stock until the company goes public or is bought."

It will be curious to see if the good Dr. sold his any of his interests to family members or had his holdings shifted into a blind trust.

Looks like Oz, like Trump, has made a financial killing from his government position.

In reporting from NPR, Tylenol maker Kenvue reacted to Trump and Kennedy's claims, issuing a statement that read:

"We believe independent, sound science clearly shows that taking acetaminophen does not cause autism. We strongly disagree with any suggestion otherwise and are deeply concerned about the health risks and confusion this poses for expecting mothers and parents."

Steven J. Fleischman, M.D., president of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, said in a statement:

"It is highly unsettling that our federal health agencies are willing to make an announcement that will affect the health and well-being of millions of people without the backing of reliable data."

Reacting to the Trump/Kennedy trip down the science denying brick road, Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs said on theKTAR News 92.3 FM’s Outspoken with Bruce & Gaydos while responding to the radio journalists assertion that the MAGA team is "full of crap" and "insane:"

"I think number one: Autism, we're seeing more and more autism. And the fact is that people can live with autism, and there doesn't necessarily need to be a cure. And we are doing more and more with medical research for people to be able to live with autism and live productive, fulfilling lives. Number one, but number two, this is like junk science. and perhaps they're trying to distract... I don't want to ascribe motives. I don't know what the motives are, but the fact is that America is losing our place in being cutting edge and finding cures for diseases that impact everyone across the country. Cancer! Alzheimer's! So many terrible diseases that we are doing cutting edge research for and the government is cutting all the funding for this, and we're not going to be on the cutting edge anymore, and Americans will suffer for that. And that is very distressing to me."

Arizona Senate Democratic Leader Priya Sundareshan commented to Blog for Arizona:

"Trump and his administrations’ actions to link, without evidence and contrary to the recommendations of medical experts, Tylenol use during pregnancy to autism, is yet another demonstration of the anti-science approach he and his unqualified appointees take towards our health, even as they uplift unproven and quack theories. Similarly, his action to cancel a report quantifying how many people in the United States are food insecure demonstrates the Republican head-in-the-sand approach to policy. The Republican trifecta in our federal government would prefer that our American scientific expertise and leadership is degraded rather than learn that the consequences of their terrible anti-working families policies will result in unnecessary suffering among U.S. citizens – and that it’s the Republicans’ fault."

Arizona House Assistant Democratic Leader Nancy Gutierrez also commented to Blog for Arizona, writing:

“The latest medical advice from the administration is steeped in misogyny as well as dangerous rhetoric. Aside from there being absolutely no evidence about a cause Autism being linked to Tylenol, it is seemingly blaming mothers for not ‘toughing out’ their pain during pregnancy. Not only do these men know nothing about medicine, they also know nothing about being pregnant. I don’t want any mother to read this and think that their actions caused their child to be born neurodivergent. Instead, let’s support mothers and lift up these incredibly special children.”

Posting on social media, Representative Yassamin Ansari stated:

"Tylenol doesn't cause autism. Science has proven this—and we should always follow science.

We shouldn't be following guidance from RFK, Jr., who has absolutely no background in science or health care."

Representative Greg Stanton reposted this social media release from the American Psychiatric Association.

Third Way Senior Communications Director Kate deGruyter asserted:

"It’s just terrible. Parents of young kids face enough challenges—sorting out fear from facts about safe medications shouldn’t be one of them."

Democratic Political Consultant and Commentator Dr. Rachel Bitecofer issued several posts including:

"Tylenol has been on the market for like 80 years. What Trump did to pregnant women yesterday was unforgivable. And millions of mothers."

Vice President of Matters of State Strategies Matt Grodsky remarked:

"When they say Tylenol, Democrats need to be saying Epstein."

Watching science denying Trump and Kennedy along with profit driven Oz reminded me of the below music video called "Say Say Say" starring Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson.

At the beginning of the video, the singers were hucksters taking money from gullible townspeople by selling them a wonder potion that would give the buyer great strength.

That is all Trump, Kennedy, and Oz were doing yesterday with their proclamation that Tylenol causes autism and leucovorin can cure it.

Unfortunately, unlike McCartney and Jackson's entertaining music video, what Trump and his MAGA charlatan accessories are doing, like their cuts to Medicaid, Cancer Research, Vaccinations, Rural Healthcare, the Affordable Care Act, and Food Assistance (where the Long Termists stopped the issuing of a report highlighting how many people are

Score One for the Power of the American People and the First Amendment: Jimmy Kimmel is Coming Back

From It's Your Future Stupid

In a tribute to the power of the people in cancelling their subscriptions to Hulu, Disney Plus, ESPN, and trips to Disney Land and Disney World, ABC has given in and decided, after less than a week to bring back Jimmy Kimmel after erroneously suspending him after Mafioso style financial threats by American Duce Wannabe Donald Trump's FCC Chair Brendan Carr to affiliates who carried the late night comedians show.

Score one for the power of the American People.

Score one for the First Amendment.

Money, even from the 98 percent, does talk.

In a statement by Walt Disney Company:

"The Walt Disney Company issued the following statement today regarding Jimmy Kimmel Live!

Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country. It is a decision we made because we felt some of the comments were ill-timed and thus insensitive. We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday."

Considering over the last 48 hours, Donald Trump has publicly disparaged President Joe Biden (the one who beat him) and told people at the Charlie Kirk Memorial that he hates his opponents, (Guess those segments can actually be called hate speech,) it was right for Disney not to give into the MAGA hypocrisy and double standard on free speech.

Judenrat-Fascist- Collaborater Stephen Millers hate filled and divisive speech at the Kirk Memorial was also extremely cringeworthy.

In a celebratory post, Representative Yassamin Ansari hailed the power of the people in bringing Mr. Kimmel back, saying:

"Jimmy Kimmel is back and this is so exciting. Here's what happened. Last week, I led a resolution in the House of Representatives that over 115 of my Democratic colleagues signed on to standing with Jimmy Kimmel and pushing back against the Authoritarian in the White House, Donald Trump, and his regime's attempt to silence Free Speech in the United States of America. This is a big moment because millions of you also stood up in defense of free speech, and it worked. I just want everyone to be super proud of that. What this shows us is that even when you have a wannabe dictator in the White House like Donald Trump and a regime that is hell-bent on silencing critics and silencing dissent, it is possible to win. I'm the proud daughter of immigrants who fled an authoritarian regime. I know the playbook. This was never just about one comedian or about one journalist or one outlet. It is a massive threat to our Democracy when an authoritarian wants to systematically silence us and go after free speech. So please. This is a win. This shows us that when we organize and when we mobilize, and when we fight back together, we can win and we will continue to do so."

From Finland, Senator Ruben Gallego posted:

"Good. This is what happens when we fight back."

Ansari and Gallego are right.

This is what happens when the people channel their positive energy and resources and non violently push back against the machinations of the powerful and cowardly bullies.

There is still a little over three years to go.

Do not give in to hate, Fascism, MAGA, Project 2025, and White Nationalism.

Do not give up on the fight for the soul of the American Ideal and Dream.

Make your voices heard.

For the Twice Impeached Felon in Chief, Prosecuting People Depends On If You Are In His Political Tribe or Sugar Daddy

From Clay Bennett.

Ever since the pardoning, on his first day back in power, of the over 1500 domestic terrorists who stormed the Nation's Capitol in his name on January 6, 2021, Twice Impeached-Felon in Chief Donald Trump has been very clear, on many occasions, on who deserves and does not warrant criminal prosecution.

And the criteria is not impartial justice.

If you are a MAGA-Trump loyalist, especially with a large check sugar daddy book to help subsidize the Trump Family Extortion Syndicate-Racket, like Silk Road's Ross Ulbricht and the tax evading husband and wife team of Todd and Julie Chrisley, chances are the Bondi Injustice Department will not be investigating you or a pardon will be in your Christmas/Holiday Stocking.

If you are a former friend of Trump who is in jail and may have compromising information about him like Ghislaine Maxwell, that person may found themselves in a comfy minimum security prison.

However, if you are on Donald Trump and F.B.I. Misdirector Kash Patel's enemies list like John Bolton, James Comey, Miles Taylor, Adam Schiff, or Leticia James, the MAGA sycophants at Injustice are circling the wagons on you.

Just in the last few days, Mr. Trump and his team have again shown their true colors for discriminatory justice.

In a social media post, the Felon in Chief implored his Attorney General to prosecute his political enemies, claiming, that the evidence, despite the actual facts, was overwhelming against them.

Trump fired the person he had appointed to be the United States Attorney to Virginia, Erik S. Siebert because the experienced and well regarded on both sides prosecutor did not see the evidence necessary to indict former F.B.I. Director James Comey or current New York Attorney General Leticia James.

He has been replaced by a Trump loyalist advisor named Lindsey Halligan who has no legal experience for the job she has just been assigned.

According to the Washington Post, "Halligan’s most recent White House assignment was removing “improper ideology” from the Smithsonian museums."

These developments have occurred at the same time the Injustice Department has decided to not pursue an investigation into potential $50,000 bribery from undercover F.B.I. agents against Trump's Border Tsar and White Nationalist Compadre Tom Homan who, on tape, said he would try to get the agents, posing as business executives, government contracts.

The White House team has of course resorted to playing the same song, claiming that Homan did not give the $50,000 to the undercover F.B.I. agents and this was all a political witch hunt from the Biden/Harris Administration.

What makes this more scary is recent YouGov polling that shows over a third of Republicans think it is okay for a President to go after his political enemies. Unfortunately, ten percent of Democrats think it is fine to along with 15 percent of Independents.

That number should be zero across the board.

Commenting on the Trump Tribal Justice System, Third Way Senior Communications Director Kate deGruyter said to Blog for Arizona:

"We should be alarmed by even the appearance of corruption or partiality, no matter our political home. But the Trump Administration shows no such qualms about even outright corruption and abuse of power. The tone is set at the top by a president eager to solicit a $400 million luxury jet from a foreign government as a perk of the presidency and willing to use the weight of the federal government to punish Americans who disagree with him. So let’s be clear, if Republican leaders expect a price for their service or support, working men and women in this country will be the ones to suffer in a nation where freedom is declining. That should concern us all."

Democratic Political Consultant Dr. Rachel Bitecofer made a couple of social media posts on Trump's discriminatory legal choices, saying:

"The Holman thing really shows the persuasive naivety that holds back any effective response to Trump’s autocratic crap. People can’t seem to internalize that for all intents and purposes, we have no federal justice system for MAGA. They are completely immune."

"Don’t forget, MAGAs claim is that Trump never did anything wrong. Never broke a single law!! Was investigated for no reason! You’re not dealing with sane people."

Arizona Senator Ruben Gallego posted:

"Just this week:

Trump’s border czar, @RealTomHoman took cash bribes and Bondi’s DOJ shut down the case.

Trump’s FCC threatened ABC and got Kimmel taken off the air.

This president is using the government to protect corrupt friends and punish enemies. This is not normal. We ca
