Joe Biden wants to Keep America Safe from four more years of Donald Trump

In a speech that historians may cite as a focal point in the 2020 United States Presidential Race, Joe Biden proved that, yes, he can be a Law and Order President.

Please watch the full address by clicking below.

Calling Donald Trump "poison," a "toxin," and an agent of division and fear, the 2020 Democratic Presidential Nominee said that everything that is going wrong in the nation is happening in "Trump's America."

Distinguishing the lying and pessimistic Trump from the wartime honesty and optimism of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, the former Vice President told viewers that Mr. Trump, whose recent tweets continue to glorify white nationalist militia (including the murderer of two innocent protestors) and paint protestors as anarchists, is "part of the problem," who hopes this violence will continue as a "political lifeline" to his alt-right campaign.
Mr. Biden also, again for those that pay attention, skillfully refuted Trump and his cult ally talking points by stating he:

  • condemns all violence including those from white militia (which Mr. Trump has not) and acts committed by rioters and looters.
  • thinks most police are a credit to their local communities.
  • is not a radical socialist. He asked people to look at him, his record and asked "Do you see a radical socialist here."
  • is not for banning fracking.

The Democratic Presidential Nominee also pointed out how unsafe Americans are in Donald Trump's America by reminding them that:

  • 180,000 people are dead from COVID 19 in Donald Trumps America. Mr. Biden pointed out that more cops have died from the Coronavirus than on patrol duty.
  • The Murder rate, unlike the crime rate in the Obama/Biden Administration, has risen under Donald Trump.
  • The Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) is being challenged in the courts by the Trump Administration in the middle of a pandemic.
  • Donald Trump's tax plans would cause the gutting of funding Social Security and Medicare.
  • Mr. Trump is "subservient" to Vladimir Putin and would not even bring up the bounties on American Troops the Russian leader put on soldiers in Afghanistan.
  • Took a good economy from the Obama/Biden Administration and "drove it in the ditch."

At the end of most of these points, Mr. Biden asked "Do you feel safer in Trump's America?"

The former Vice President then detailed his intentions to:

  • heal and bring the people in the country together.
  • combat the Coronavirus.
  • build back a better economy that provides good-paying jobs and increases sustainable clean energy opportunities.

Mr. Biden concluded his address, stating:

"Donald Trump is determined to instill fear in America. That is what his entire campaign for the Presidency come down to fear. I believe Americans are stronger than that. I believe we'll be guided by the words of Pope John Paul II, words drawn from the scriptures. "Be not afraid. Be not afraid." Fear never builds the future but hope does. and building the future as America does. What we've always done. The fact is what we have done best and continue to do best. This is the United States of America. There's not a single thing beyond our capacity when we decide to do it together. So let's get together. I want to thank you all and God Bless You. May God protect our Troops."

So voters should ask the Reagan question: Are you better off now than you were four years ago? Do you feel safer than you did four years ago? Do you think the country, under Donald Trump and Mike Pence is headed in the right direction?

If the reader answered no to all of those questions, there is little doubt what must be done in 64 days.

The Lincoln Project and Republican Voters Against Trump unveil three new Ads

The Lincoln Project and Republican Voters Against Trump unveiled three new ads condemning Mr. Trump's monstrous insensitivity towards child safety in school reopenings, stoking fears against all protestors, and his mishandling of the Coronavirus.

The first ad, called "School" shows parents and teachers are scared of reopening schools during the middle of the pandemic while "Trump and Betsy DeVos are hell-bent on forcing kids back to the classroom...while having no plan for their safety and with Trump's eight billion dollars in education cuts, schools just aren't ready."

The ad concludes with:

"COVID puts everyone at risk. Trump just added our kids to that list."

The second ad called "Doc" shows Los Angeles Clipper Basketball Coach Doc Rivers chastizing the speakers at the Republican Convention for stoking fears against "the other" when it is minorities and protestors that are the ones getting killed by bad cops and armed vigilantes.

In the ad, Rivers says:

"It's amazing why we keep loving this country and this country does not love us back...we gotta do better but we got to demand better. We protest and they send riot guards...we're trying to get them to protect us just like they protect everybody else."

Rivers concludes by stating:

"You don't need to be black to be outraged. You need to be American and outraged and how dare the Republicans talk about fear. We're the ones having to talk to every black child. What white father has to give his son a talk about being careful if you get pulled over. All we're asking is you live up to the Constitution. That's all we're asking for everybody for everyone. Thank you."

The final ad, called "I'm Sorry Mr. President, You've Failed," is narrated by Elizabeth Neumann, the former Assistant Secretary for Counter-Terrorism and Threat Prevention in the Department of Homeland Security.

A one time Trump supporter, Secretary Neumann is not voting for him in 2020 because at the beginning phases of the Coronavirus:

"From January until March 11, what you saw was a number of good public servants attempting to do their jobs and the President telling them to stop because he didn't want the economy to tank, and he didn't want a distraction from his campaign."

Secretary Neumann concludes by asserting:

"I'm sorry Mr. President. You were hired to handle America's worst day and you've absolutely failed. And this year, I'll be voting for Joe Biden."

The Biden/Harris Campaign Presents "This is Trump's America"

The Biden/Harris Campaign continued their rebuke of the alternate reality presented by the Trump Administration at the Republican National Convention with a new ad called "This is Trump's America."

The ad takes quotes taken from Trump's acceptance speech and matching it with reality.

When Trump said "we must never allow mob rule," the Biden/Harris Campaign showed video of the white supremacists marching in Charlottesville chanting "Jews will not replace us" and the arrest of Kyle Peterson this week after killing two innocent protestors in Kenosha.

When Trump said "free rein to violent anarchists and criminals," the Biden/Harris Campaign showed the viewers the aftermath of the El Paso shooting "at the hands of a white supremacist."

When Trump said "we must always have law and order," the Biden/Harris Campaign showed Trump forces teargassing innocent protestors so he could have his photo op with an upside-down Bible and the St. Louis Couple (guests at this week's Republican Convention) taunting protestors with firearms.

When Trump said "the greatest economy in history," the Biden/Harris Campaign reminded everyone that unemployment is at levels not seen since the Great Depression.

When Trump said "we will crush the virus," the Biden/Harris Campaign pointed out that there are close to six million COVID 19 cases in the United States and about 180,000 fatalities (both world-leading numbers.)

The ad concluded with:

"Donald Trump says: "No one will be safe in Biden's America." Do you feel safe in his?"

Indeed.

Watch the latest ads from The Lincoln Project, Unite the Country, Priorities USA, Republican Voters Against Trump, and the Biden/Harris Campaign

Political groups have wasted no time producing ads that have premiered just before and after the Republican National Convention.

The first one, from the Lincoln Project, called "Chyna" depicts Donald Trump as a moronic stooge to the Chinese who cares more about his debt to the Bank of China and his daughters' trademarks with that government instead of the nations farmers, trade (where he made deals that benefited Beijing), and commerce.

The second ad, from Unite the Country called "Better Looks Like" calls on viewers to vote for Joe Biden summarizes how the Democratic Tickets Build Back Better Plan would better help "combat the Coronavirus, safely reopen schools, get people back to work, and strengthen health care coverage."

The third ad, from Priorities USA called "Fanning the Flames," also calls on viewers to support Joe Biden because "our Country is in crisis" thanks to the poor and incompetent leadership of Donald Trump with him:

  • "wanting to reduce COVID 19 testing with thousands of people dying from the pandemic a day.
  • ignoring the millions of unemployed.
  • turning troops loose on innocent protestors."

The fourth digital ad from Republican Voters Against Trump contrasts the late Senator McCain's inclusive and uniting acceptance speech at the 2008 Republican National Convention with examples of Mr. Trump's divisive and discriminatory remarks.

The last four ads are from the Biden Campaign and they are all effective.

The first one called "Keep Up" is a rebuttal to Donald Trump's lack of leadership. It points out that Joe Biden will be on the march from day one looking to combat the Coronavirus and make life better for Americans.

The next two ads, "They will get it Wrong Again" and "RNC Hypocrisy: What they Said," ably points out how the Trump Administration, despite what they tried to peddle at the Republican Convention, mishandled governing during their time in office. It also shows the blatant hypocrisy of some of the Republican leaders (some of whom spoke at the Convention) that spoke truthfully about Mr. Trump in 2016 before sucking up to him for political gain now.

The final ad and perhaps the most powerful is "Anthem" where the National Anthem is played to empty stadiums, high school ballparks and track fields, schools, churches.

The ad then states in writing:

"Trump put America on the sidelines. Let's get back in the game. Biden/Harris."
