The Lincoln Project and Priorities USA has released three new ads following the very successful Democratic National Convention that formally nominated Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for the Presidency and Vice Presidency of the United States.
The first ad from the Lincoln Project called "Goodyear" discusses how Mr. Trump is making life worse for people in Ohio (in addition to his mishandling of the Coronavirus and the Economy) by "demanding a boycott to put Goodyear out of business."
With over three thousand union jobs in jeopardy (that affect the economic lifeline in Ohio) thanks to this move, why is Trump doing this?
"His feelings got hurt."
Why did his feelings get hurt?
Because of an isolated tweet from a Goodyear employee that suggested a ban on MAGA hats.
Should not the leader of the country be spending his time on more important matters (the pandemic, the economy, racial injustice, climate change) rather than spending executive time responding to tweets?
This is another example of the contrast between what Trump offers and what Joe Biden would do.
The Lincoln Project ad concludes with:
"Trump talks a good game, but he's not on our side. Never has been, never will be."
The next two ads come from Priorities USA.
The first one, called "Life and Death" shows a health care nurse who has always voted Republican that has decided to support Joe Biden.
Why did she make this decision?
Because Mr. Trump wants to prematurely reopen schools to in-person instruction without first ensuring children's (including her own) safety.
She said:
"Donald Trump has failed us. He tells everyone let's just open up the schools but just do it is a Nike Slogan. It is not a public health plan...I can not support a President who will not listen to the experts on such a life and death issue."
The second ad, called "Wreck" which equates Donald Trump's poor stewardship of the country with "watching a slow-motion car wreck."
Blaming Trump for "ignoring experts and downplaying the crisis" that has resulted in the Coronavirus and the economy "spiraling out of control," the ad pivots to demonstrating what Joe Biden would do differently. This includes:
- "Listening to science.
- Confronting the virus and rebuilding our economy.
- Creating good jobs with his economic plan.
- Improving access to affordable health care.
- Expanding Medicare and Student Debt Relief."
The ad concludes with "It's time for Joe Biden."
