The Biden Campaign Releases Three New Ads as it launches a $280 million Ad Buy across Battleground States

The Biden campaign, flush with record donations, has decided to launch a $280 million fall ad push across 15 battleground states.

According to the New York Times, $220 million will goes towards television spots and the remaining $60 million will be digital ads.

The ads will appear in Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa,  Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

It should be telling about how the Biden campaign currently feels about its electoral prospects that it is advertising in Texas and Georgia.

If they decide in the future to further expand television and digital ads into South Carolina, Montana, or Kansas, most could speculate that a landslide may be coming this November if people remember to do their part, turn out, and vote.

In advertising to Arizona and other parts of the Southwest and Florida, Biden Campaign officials pointed out that:

"Reaching Latino Voters - In many markets, the Hispanic audience is typically split among younger English-heavier speakers and older Spanish speakers. Our media program will invest in both English-language and Spanish-language paid media across TV, digital, and radio outlets. We’ll reserve a large bulk of advertising across Colorado, Florida, Arizona, Nevada, and Virginia. We’ll also make investments in Latino paid media in Pennsylvania and North Carolina as well."

"Local Television: Will seek out opportunities for sports, entertainment specials, VOD, and addressable to ensure we’re covering all niche programming."

"Radio: Tap into key local influencers to deliver localized messages."

"Digital: Reaching Hispanic & Latino voters by targeting news content on Univision, Mitu, Pandora, & Vevo, and leveraging Hispanic ad networks to target bilingual and Spanish dominant speakers."

"Culturally Competent Creative: Our creative will feature voiceover talent that speaks to the diverse Latino population, like using a voice of Mexican-descent in Arizona, and a voice of Puerto Rican-descent in Orlando and Tampa."

To kick off this coming ad buy, the Biden campaign released three new ads today (August 6, 2020.)

The first ad, "Joe Biden gets Vetted" shows the Nominee showing off a Corvette vehicle he owns and touting the possibilities of the United States owning the electric car market where a modern corvette can go 200 miles an hour.

The second ad, called "Better America" recounts the adversity the African American Community has had to overcome, how they will continue to fight Donald Trump's racist sentiments, and how they believe Joe Biden will be their advocate in creating a better community.

The final ad, called "Scranton Supporters Talk About Joe Biden," offers testimonials from local residents in Joe Biden's early childhood home on how they value family, integrity, inclusiveness, and community. The residents then testify that Joe Biden is the embodiment of Scranton's values and how "he never forgot them."

People will never see local New Yorkers creating an ad where they state Donald Trump reflects their values.

Election Day is 89 days away.
