The Biden/Harris Campaign released its first ad since Joe Biden's announcement of Senator Kamala Harris as the 2020 Democratic Vice Presidential Nominee.
Titled "Kamala Harris," the ad starts and ends with the call of Vice President Joe Biden to the California Senator with him asking her:
"You ready to go to work."
She replies:
"Oh my God, I'm so ready to go to work."
The ad ends with Mr. Biden asking Ms. Harris:
"First of all is the answer yes."
The California Senator responded with:
"The answer is absolutely yes Joe and I'm ready to work. I am ready to do this with you for you. I just...I'm just deeply honored and I'm very excited."
In between the playing of Mr. Biden offering the Vice President position on the ticket to Senator Harris, the ad covers, with the California Senator narrating, her life, career, and what drove her to enter public service (her mother, a broken justice system, representing "people like her mother who politicians often overlook or don't take seriously.)
Saying America "needs action," Harris blasted Trump for his mishandling of the COVID 19, economic, and social injustice crises, citing his:
- Attempts "to rip away health care."
- "Giving (tax) breaks to his wealthy donors"
- Tear gassing of people who "cried out for support."
Harris concluded her narration by telling the viewers that Joe Biden "will lead us out of it (the crisis the country faces) He's a man of faith, decency, and character...As Joe says, we're in a battle for the soul of this nation but together it's a battle we can win. We just have to take action."
Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will hold their first joint appearance to turn the direction of the country around at a campaign event at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time (11:00 a.m. Arizona.)
Please remember the General Election Day is on November 3. 2020.
