The Lincoln Project and Biden Campaign both released ads today (August 11) that condemn Donald Trump's war on the most vulnerable in the nation.
The first ad, from the Lincoln Project, called "Moving Day" chastises Trump for his inactions that took away $600 a week in enhanced unemployment benefits from 25 million people, forcing them into potential dire life-altering situations like evictions (which his recent Executive Order does nothing about stopping) from their homes, calling them the "Trump Evictions" and the "Trump Foreclosures."
After showing clips of the 2016 Popular Vote Loser calling reports about the pandemic and economic crisis "fake news" and saying people want to just stay home and get the $600 a week in unemployment insurance, the narrator concludes the ad, saying:
"The man in this house (White House) doesn't give a damn if you lose yours. On November 3, remember it's America or Trump."
The Biden Campaign Ad, called "Swing" starts by showing Mr. "I will work harder than Obama" playing on a golf course before signing his Payroll Tax Deferral Holiday Executive Order (the one most employers will probably ignore and still withhold FICA contributions from their employees,) calling it an attempt by the President of Betrayal to "direct funding cuts for Social Security."
The narrator then points out that Trump has proposed "slashing hundreds of billions of dollars from the Social Security Trust Fund every year."
He has also made similar cutting proposals to Medicare and Medicaid.
The ad meant for the Florida media market, concludes by pointing out that nearly "four million Florida seniors rely on Social Security, and once again Donald Trump's failed leadership is hitting seniors the hardest."
Senior Citizens in Arizona like Michael Muscatos Congressional District Eight or Joan Green's Congressional District Five should wonder how Trump's Executive Order and policy proposals affect them. They should ask if incumbents Debbie Lesko and Andy Biggs will continue to support Mr. Trump, like they have on everything else, on these measures.
Maybe they should listen to what candidates like Greene or Muscato have to say about protecting Social Security.
