Kari Lake is the Crime and Disorder Trump Republican Gubernatorial Nominee

Photo from Twitter.

Voters need to consider Kari Lake's history of supporting crime and disorder in Arizona and across the country.

  • She supports the 2020 Big Lie about the Presidential election that has sowed chaos, criminal acts, and division in Arizona and the country.
  • She calls the 1864/1901 abortion ban, a measure that has already wreaked havoc and jeopardized the lives of children a "great law."
  • She has no apparent problem with Anti-Semitic political candidates.
  • She is okay with breaking up and defunding the Federal Bureau of Investigation (F.B.I.) because they had the audacity to investigate her Fascist-White Nationalist Patron, Donald Trump.

Now, it has been revealed by reporting by the Daily Beast that the Crime and Disorder Trump Republican nominee has in her paid employ one Kenneth Ulibarri, an individual, who according to the Daily Beast and Salon, was involved in a hit-for-hire crime against an F.B.I. informant as well as multiple accounts of assaulting a police officer and heroin distribution.

According to the Salon piece, as well as being a criminal transgressor, Ulibarri is a fringe right-wing figure who has used a not-for-profit he works at to brainwash teenagers to become "Soldiers for Christ."

Katie Hobbs Reacts to the Latest from the Lake Alt Universe.

Arizona Secretary of State and Democratic Gubernatorial Nominee Katie Hobbs quickly reacted to the latest example of Lake's hypocrisy, issuing a statement that read:

“While Kari Lake likes to pay lip service to support law enforcement, her actions prove that it’s nothing more than talk, and she can’t be trusted to support law enforcement or public safety. If she is comfortable hiring and campaigning with people with a criminal record of this extent, it is terrifying to imagine what her administration would look like as governor.”

Kari Lake is too radical and dangerous to become Arizona's next Governor.

If her views on reproductive freedom, Democracy, public schools, fringe candidates, and Donald Trump will not convince you, then her fondness for criminals who assault police officers and put hits on F.B.I. agents should.

Vote for the real law and order candidate on November 8, 2022, and send the crime and disorder one back to Fox News.

Kate Gallego and Greg Stanton Hail Bipartisan Infrastructure Dollars to Improve Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport

Accompanied by White House Infrastructure Tsar (and former New Orlean's Mayor) Mitch Landrieu, Arizona Democratic Leader Reginald Bolding, and airport and union leaders, Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego and House Representative (and former Mayor) Greg Stanton hailed the $194 million investment from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to add a new taxiway and help modernize Sky Harbor Airport. As the below social media posts from Mayor Gallego, Representative Stanton, and Mr. Landrieu can attest, this will make aircraft movement at the airport smoother, better get passengers to their destinations, deliver supplies faster, and help create good-paying jobs.

Gallego and Stanton both thanked the Biden/Harris Administration for their work on infrastructure that will help one of the main economic engines of the state: Sky Harbor Airport.

On the new investment for Sky Harbor, Mayor Gallego, according to reporting by Cronkite News-Arizona PBS stated:

“Your planes are likely to take off more quickly, and you’ll spend less time on the tarmac both landing and taking off. When we have tough storms, like the one we did last night, having a bigger, better tarmac will allow us to adapt and have more ability to keep planes flying. This is a very exciting project for us.”

Representative Stanton offered:

“One of the very best qualities and most significant competitive advantages of Sky Harbor is that it’s right at the very center of our region right next to downtown, but that also means that land is a little bit scarce. Instead of growing larger, we have to grow smarter.”

Mayor Gallego also told reporters that more will need to done with Phoenix Sky Harbor, relaying:

“With traffic quickly rebounding to pre-pandemic levels, and nearly $6 billion of unmet infrastructure needs at Sky Harbor alone. Many more improvements are necessary to keep up with our passenger growth and demand.”

In a video conversation (see below) between Representative Stanton and Mr. Landrieu, the Arizona Congressman reminded everyone how important the infrastructure plan is not just for the airport but for spreading broadband to rural and tribal areas as well as water infrastructure for the Grand Canyon State.

If Republicans are so Good at Law and Order, Why Are the Murder Rates Highest in Most of Their States

From MSNBC

Fellow writer AZ Blue Meanie touched on this in a recent piece, citing California Governor Gavin Newsom's critique of Democratic messaging in the face of Republican hypocrisy on Law and Order.

In an interview with MSNBC, Governor Newsom correctly pointed out that recent data from the National Center for Health Statistics showed most of the states with the highest murder rates have Republican Governors and/or State Legislators.

Those states are:

  • Lousiana
  • Mississippi
  • South Carolina
  • Georgia
  • Arkansas
  • Missouri
  • Alabama
  • Tennessee
  • Kentucky
  • Oklahoma
  • Ohio
  • New Mexico
  • Illinois
  • Maryland
  • Delaware
  • North Carolina

Of the 15 states with the highest death rates, 12 have either a Republican Governor, Legislature, or both.

Expanding the map further, blue states California and New York have lower homicide rates than the states where Republican Governors like Ducey (Arizona,) DeSantis (Florida,) and Abbott (Texas) routinely ridicule them.

Which begs the question.

If Republicans are so Good at Law and Order, why are the murder rates highest in most of their states

That is a question Arizona Attorney General Democratic Nominee pointed out on her September 28, 2022, debate with Republican Nominee Abe Hamadeh when she brought up that the Republican Governor and legislature are not spending any of their budget surpluses sufficiently tackling the fentanyl drug trafficking issue at the border.

She also added that:

"We have seen over the last ten years under Republican AG's (including current Superintendent of Public Instruction Candidate Tom Horne) and Governors a rise in the murder rate in Arizona of 20 percent. That has to come to an end."

Of course, it would be helpful if Republicans voted for budgets that increased resources for law enforcement (and yes, spending more on mental health specialists helps the police) and legislation to take guns away from criminals and maniacs.

A group, Everytown for Gun Safety has started to release ads targeting Republican candidates and their aversion to helping law enforcement.

One of those ads, noted by Washington Post columnists Paul Waldman and Greg Sargent, against Georgia Trump Republican Senate Candidate Herschel Walker, ably demonstrates the former party of Lincoln's weakness in Reproductive Freedom (even in cases of rape and incest) Law and Order (in addition to their looking the other way on Donald Trump's crimes and those of his domestic terrorist confederates,) and how Democrats, as Newsom suggested, should attack it.

The narrator points out that Walker opposes common sense gun safety laws that could save lives and help the police, saying "he would make it easier for dangerous people to carry guns in public, no questions asked."

I wonder when Everytown for Gun Safety will come out with ads on Arizona's  Kari Lake, Abe Hamadeh, Mark Finchem, and Blake Masters.

Voters need to ask themselves if Republicans are as good at law and order when they vote on November 8, 2022.

The answer in a word is NO.

Their definition of law and order is protecting themselves (the plutocrats and white nationalist community and the misguided from other groups that have been brainwashed to follow them) and using the police on everyone else in their dystopian version of a Trumpist-Fascist state.

Voters on November 8, 2022, need to defeat those candidates that want that vision for Arizona and America and elect those that will truly support law enforcement and public safety.
