Donald 'I Killed Roe v Wade' Trump Did This

Timing is everything.

On the day the Arizona Supreme Court handed down its ruling turning back women's health care and reproductive freedom rights 160 years, the Biden/Harris Campaign released a new ad, called "Willows Box" that highlighted the plight of Amanda Zurawski, who, thanks to Donald 'I killed Roe v Wade' Trump, nearly died twice from sepsis in a Texas hospital because that states anti-abortion law, in effect because the former President's Supreme Court picks provided the critical votes in overturning Roe v Wade, scared physicians from acting sooner.

Women and Physicians in Arizona beware. Thanks to the Arizona Supreme Court, this could potentially happen here if MAGA Republican state legislators do not heed the will of the people and fail to repeal the Civil War-era abortion ban. 

In this moving and frankly sad ad, Amanda and Josh Zurawski are going through their babies, a daughter named Willow, items they had started to get while she was pregnant with their expected child Willow. 

Among the items were a baby book, clothes, a blanket, and "her little footprints."

Unfortunately, Amanda had a miscarriage just short of her sixth month of pregnancy. 

The ad then says:

"Because Donald Trump killed Roe v Wade, Amanda was denied standard medical care to prevent infection, an abortion. Doctors were forced to send her home...Three days later, Amanda was in the ICU with sepsis. She almost died twice. The infection caused so much damage, Amanda may never get pregnant again."

With a clip showing Josh Zurawski trying to comfort his traumatized wife, saying "It's okay," the ad ends with the caption. 

"Donald Trump did this."

Two days after the ruling, the Biden/Harris Campaign released an ad, called "Power Back" with President Biden citing all the ways Donald Trump has made life for women dangerous and harder in Arizona and across the country.

With clips of mortified and anguished women on the screen, the President stated:

"Because of Donald Trump, millions of women in Arizona lost the fundamental freedom to control their own bodies. And now, women's lives are in danger because of that. The question is — if Donald Trump gets back in power, what freedom will you lose next? Your body and your decisions belong to you, not the government, not Donald Trump. I will fight like hell to get your freedom back."

On this new ad, Biden/Harris Campaign Manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez commented in a press release:

“This week, women across the state of Arizona are watching in horror as an abortion ban from 1864 with no exceptions for rape, incest, or the health of a woman will soon become the law of the land for Arizonans. This nightmare is only possible because of Donald Trump. Arizonans deserve to know that it’s Donald Trump bragging about taking them back to a time before women could vote, for putting their lives in danger, and for promising to go even further to strip women’s rights if he’s reelected. There is only one candidate who will fight like hell to restore women’s fundamental freedoms, and that’s President Joe Biden.”

Another Biden/Harris Campaign press release noted that 62 percent of Arizonans favor legalizing abortion in most or all cases and only 15 percent of Latinos think the procedure should be illegal. 

This release also reminded readers that since the overturning of Roe v Wade, many pro-choice candidates like Katie Hobbs, Kris Mayes, and Mark Kelly, like other candidates across the country, have won their respective races. 

So have ballot initiatives, like the Access to Abortion One gathering signatures in the Grand Canyon State.

The press release concludes with: 

"Women across the entire country remember where they were when Roe was overturned – now, here in Arizona, they’ll never forget the day that our Supreme Court set women’s freedoms back to a time before women had the right to vote and Arizona was even a state. Every woman in every household across our state is feeling the impact of this – and it’s blanketed the front pages and the airwaves. And there is only one person to blame: Donald Trump. In every election over the past two years, Arizonans have voted to defend abortion access – and we’re going to do it again in November."

April 9, 2024, May Go Down in History as When the Arizona Supreme Court Gave the State to the Biden/Harris Ticket and the Democrats

There are two old sayings that the few smart and mainstream people left in the Arizona Republican Party may be thinking after today's State Supreme Court ruling bringing a real-life Handmaid's Tale to the Grand Canyon state with its decision to reaffirm a Civil War era ban of virtually all abortions no matter the trimester.

Those sayings are:

"Be careful what you wish for."

"We reap what we sow."

The Biden/Harris Campaign, already investing heavily in Arizona, will undoubtedly put more resources into the state after the Arizona Supreme Court just opened the door for them to seal the deal with Independents and McCain/Disaffected Republicans.

In a statement following the Arizona court decision, President Joe Biden wrote:

"Millions of Arizonans will soon live under an even more extreme and dangerous abortion ban, which fails to protect women even when their health is at risk or in tragic cases of rape or incest. This cruel ban was first enacted in 1864—more than 150 years ago, before Arizona was even a state and well before women had secured the right to vote. This ruling is a result of the extreme agenda of Republican elected officials who are committed to ripping away women’s freedom.

Vice President Harris and I stand with the vast majority of Americans who support a woman’s right to choose. We will continue to fight to protect reproductive rights and call on Congress to pass a law restoring the protections of Roe v. Wade for women in every state."

Vice President Kamala Harris, who was just in Arizona several weeks ago will be making a trip to Tucson this Friday to attend a campaign event that will focus on reproductive freedom.

It would be interesting to see how much campaign donations to up and down-ballot Democrats, including the Biden/Harris ticket increase in Arizona from this day forward. 

The same for endorsements from Independents and like-minded Republicans who have become estranged from their party on this and other vital issues. 

The November election results in Arizona and across the country will tell whether Arizona Republicans reaped what they sowed.

Biden/Harris Campaign Releases Another Ad Highlighting Donald Trump's War on Women's Reproductive Freedom

With MAGA Republicans hailing the Florida Supreme Court's authorization of that state's MAGA-sanctioned six-week abortion ban, the Biden/Harris campaign unleashed another ad, called "Trust" attacking the person, whose Supreme Court nominees, made these draconian attacks on women's reproductive freedom possible.

The ad, narrated by President Joe Biden himself, starts with Donald Trump, during an interview, patting himself on the back for being the President responsible, after 54 years of failed attempts, for getting rid of Roe V Wade, saying, "I did it. I'm proud to have done it."

The current President then reminds the viewers that Donald Trump campaigned on the promise to overturn Roe v Wade in 2016 and "Now, in 2024, he's running to pass a national ban on a woman's right to choose."

The ad then has a close-up of Mr. Biden running to make Roe v Wade "The law of the land again so women have a federal guarantee to the right to choose."

The President closes by saying:

"Donald Trump doesn't trust women. I do."

Commenting on the recent developments in red states like Florida, where allowing the six-week ban may have the effect of putting the state in play for the Democrats and the ad, Biden/Harris Campaign Manager Julie Chavez-Rodriguez commented: 

“Donald Trump overturning Roe is the reason millions of women across the country cannot access lifesaving health care – and as this ad shows, Trump’s proud of what he’s done Now Trump wants to go further and ban abortion nationwide if he’s elected – depriving women of the fundamental right to make their own health care decisions and putting lives at risk. On the heels of Florida’s extreme abortion ban going into effect, women across the country are seeing firsthand that our rights are on the line this election, and President Biden and Vice President Harris are the only candidates who will fight like hell to protect a woman’s right to choose.”

This ad is also applicable to the Grand Canyon State as well. 

Last week, Donald 'I killed Roe v Wade'Trump endorsed election denier and Arizona State Senator Sonny Borrelli for a position on the Board of County Supervisors in Mohave County. 

This is the same Sonny Borrelli who said last month that women should stick aspirin between their legs to prevent becoming pregnant. 

He, along with every other Republican, in the Arizona State Legislature, also voted against protecting access to contraception. 

How Middle Ages is that? 

Commenting on the Trump endorsement of Borrelli, Arizona Democratic Coordinated Campaign senior advisor Jen Cox stated:

“Trump ripped away women’s freedom to make their own health care decisions by overturning Roe v. Wade, and now, he’s endorsing his MAGA Republican allies who are going even further to block protections for birth control. The majority of Arizonans reject these assaults on women's freedoms. We’re tired of Trump and his allies' relentless crusade to ban abortion and limit access to reproductive care. Arizonans deserve leaders like President Biden who take seriously their duty to protect our rights, not the ridiculous and offensive suggestion we put ‘[aspirin] between [our] knees.'"

President Biden is right. 

This election is a matter of who you can trust to protect reproductive freedom and women's health care. 

Donald Trump, through his words and actions like helping to place three Anti-Choice nominees on the highest court in the land, has shown it is not him.

Bidenomics on the March: More Good News from the Job Market

Economists were predicting 200,000 jobs were created last month.

Fortunately, they were wrong. 

The numbers in the March jobs report showed approximately 303,000 positions created and a drop in the unemployment rate to 3.8 percent. 

It is the 26th straight month where unemployment has been below four percent. Historically, the last time this trend occurred was during the 1960s when Democrats John Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson were the economic stewards of the nation from January 1961 to January 1969. 

Since Joe Biden's inauguration, 15 million jobs have been created. That is a record for any American President's first term. 

Bidenomics appears to be going strong.

Reacting to the jobs report, President Joe Biden issued a statement that read:

"Today’s report marks a milestone in America’s comeback. Three years ago, I inherited an economy on the brink. With today’s report of 303,000 new jobs in March, we have passed the milestone of 15 million jobs created since I took office. That’s 15 million more people who have the dignity and respect that comes with a paycheck.

My plan is growing the economy from the middle out and the bottom up, investing in all Americans, and giving the middle class a fair shot. Unemployment has been under 4% for the longest stretch in more than 50 years. Wages are going up. Inflation has come down significantly.

We’ve come a long way, but I won’t stop fighting for hardworking families. I’m taking action to lower costs, from bringing down the price of insulin and inhalers and prescription drugs, to eliminating junk fees. I’m calling on large corporations to pass along their record profits to consumers. And I’ll continue to stand against Congressional Republicans’ efforts to cut Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid and to enact massive tax giveaways for the wealthy and big corporations."

Of course, the Biden/Harris Campaign welcomed the positive economic news with a series of press releases. 

Biden-Harris spokesperson Lauren Hitt commented:

“President Biden inherited the worst economy since the Great Depression from Donald Trump because Trump only cared about one job: his own. Trump spent his term handing out tax breaks for the super-wealthy and corporations at the expense of the middle class. Since then, the President has created more than 15 million jobs, driven unemployment to historic lows, and supported record small business growth. While President Biden is growing the economy from the middle out and working to lower costs for Americans, Trump is running to cut Social Security and Medicare and push through another tax giveaway for the super rich and big companies.”

The campaign also issued a release, citing a report from the Washington Post, reminding readers that Trump, because of his policies, especially during the Coronavirus Pandemic, had the worst job record since economists have tracked these trends since 1939. 

The Campaign also released another statement, mocking Trump and his supporters for continually asking "Are you better off now than you were four years ago?"

Is this a trick question? 

Four years ago, the country, thanks in part to Trump's disastrous mishandling of the Coronavirus pandemic, was economically paralyzed with unemployment rising to 14.7 percent. 

The nation has taken a turn for the better in terms of job creation and economic growth. Inflation has fallen. 

Numbers do not lie. 

Donald Trump often does. 

Voters will have to decide in November what they believe and what kind of economy and country they want to live in.
