On Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth's Summer Reading List for the Navy: Mein Kampf
No surprise here.
While Donald Trump and his band of MAGA apostates are busy going after schools that promote Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion policies, revising websites to take out contributions from non white influencers of American History (including attempts to erase Jackie Robinson and Harriet Tubman before public backlash caused a retreat) and taking away funds from public libraries and museums, they have also, according to media outlets like the New York Times, purged the reading selections at the Naval Academy Library.
According to the Times, works like Maya Angelou’s I Know Why the Caged Birds Sing and Janet Jacob's Memorializing the Holocaust and its themes of racial injustice and state-sponsored genocide are out.
Even a children's book by Julianne Moore about a girl accepting her freckles was taken off the shelves. Wonder how this work could have offended anyone.
Hitler's Mein Kampf (Germanys Project 2025) and Charles Murray's The Bell Curve, books that promote theories of white supremacy, are still available.
Another book, the anti-immigrant The Camp of the Saints, a favorite of Trump zealot and Kapo Stephen Miller, is also available.
It is again apparent that in MAGA World, banning books is in fashion and indoctrination volumes catering to sentiments favoring white male nationalist power (they are removing all the senior women military leaders and fired the Black Joint Chiefs Chairperson for no good reason) and supremacy are on Donald Trump and Pete Hegseth's Summer Reading List.
In the Times article, retired Admiral and former Commander of United States Forces in Europe, Admiral James Stavridis, protested the purge of books, commenting:
"What are we afraid of keeping from them in the library?... Book banning can be a canary in a coal mine and could predict a stifling of free speech and thought. Books that challenge us make us stronger. We need officers who are educated, not indoctrinated.”
Admiral Stavridis is right.
The country needs citizens and public servants who are educated and exposed to all perspectives and not indoctrinated with vile racist dogma.
Like former Joint Chiefs Chairmen Mark Milley, the leader Trump had his portrait removed after coming back to office, once said to at a hearing where Matt Gaetz went after Critical Race Theory:
I do think it's important actually, for those of us in uniform to be open-minded and be widely read, and the United States Military Academy is a university, and it is important that we train and we understand. And I want to understand white rage, and I'm white, and I want to understand it. So what is it that caused thousands of people to assault this building and try to overturn the Constitution of the United States of America? What caused that? I want to find that out. I want to maintain an open mind here, and I do want to analyze it. It's important that we understand that because our soldiers, sailors, airmen, marines and guardsmen. They come from the American people. So it is important that the leaders now and in the future do understand it. I've read Mao Tse Tung. I've read Karl Marx. I've read Lenin. That doesn't make me a communist. So, what is wrong with understanding? Having some situational understanding about the country for which we are here to defend. And I personally find it offensive that we are accusing the United States military, our general officers, our commission and non-commissioned officers of being quote 'woke' or something else because we're studying some theories that are out there that was started Harvard Law School years ago, and a proposed that there were laws in the United States, Anti-Bellum laws, prior to, the Civil War that led to a power differential with African-Americans, that they were three quarters of a human being. When this country was formed and then we had a Civil War, an Emancipitation Proclamation to change it, and we brought it up to the Civil Rights Act in 1964 took another 100 years to change that. So look at I do want to know... and it matters to our military and the discipline and cohesion of this military."
If Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia were White, The Trump Fascists Would Not Be Asking the Courts to Stop His Return to the United States

Kilamr Amando Abrego Garcia, a married man and father who has lived with no criminal record in the United States for years, was one of the individuals deported several weeks ago when the Musk/Trump/Vance White Nationalist-Project 2025/American Mein Kampf Regime disobeyed a judge's orders and flew over 300 suspected MS-13 Venezuelan gang members to be imprisoned in one of El Salvador's most "notorious" prisons.
After Abrego Garcia's deportation, it was quickly revealed that the government had erred in removing him from the country, and the allegations about his being part of MS-13 Tren de Aragua were considered largely baseless.
One would think that the government would pull out all the stops to return Mr. Abrego Garcia home to his family and friends.
Not with the Musk/Trump/Vance White Nationalist Regime.
After Abrego Garcia's lawyers demanded their clients return, the Musk/Trump/Vance Central Committee said they had no jurisdiction to make El Salvador give him back.
In two words: Bull Shit!
The lower courts apparently agree with that sentiment, ordering the Musk/Trump/Vance Fascist Clique to get Mr. Abrego Garcia and fly him back home.
In a sane world, one would think one court order would not be needed. A mistake was made. The government would quickly correct it.
Not this government, which has accused the district and appeals courts ruling for Abrego Garcia of overstepping their authority and interfering with Mr. Trump's diplomatic powers.
Well, if Mr. Trump used his diplomatic powers and told the El Salvadoran leaders to send Abrego Garcia home, he would not have judges on the district court equating what took place as "official kidnapping" and actions taken "shocks the conscience" and "unconscionable."
The matter, thanks to Trump and his Justice Department kindred MAGA-Project 2025-Fascist apparatchiks, is now at the United States Supreme Court, where Chief Justice John Roberts issued a temporary stay and told both sides to submit briefs by tomorrow.
This is insanity as well as vicious cruelty.
If Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia were White, his name was Albert Grunwald, and he was an immigrant from the Fatherland in Germany, Donald Trump and his White Nationalist apostates would have had him back home by now.
Then again, they would not have deported him in the first place.
And the sad part is that he is probably not the only innocent person rotting in that El Salvador prison.
Recent reporting by CBS News has found that maybe three-quarters of the people flown to El Salvador have no criminal records, and most of the other quarter have nonviolent criminal records.
Due Process and information gathering are not the Musk/Trump/Vance Central Committee's strong suit, and no information has been released to counter that assertion.
Dare anyone to comment and say this position is wrong.

A Modern Day Rasputin, Laura Loomer Persuades Weak-Minded Trump to Devastate The Nation's CyberSecurity Leadership
One of the contributing factors to the first Russian Revolution in February/March 1917 (depending on which calendar one follows) was the influence of the monk Rasputin on the Romanov Royal Family.
Brought in to help the Tsar and Tsarina's son cope with his hemophilia, the monk's success in helping "treat" the boy allowed him to influence decisions made by the royal couple in which ministers to appoint and fire, in part based on who Rasputin said was loyal to the Romanov Dynasty.
Sound familiar.
This week, Laura Loomer, a devoted MAGA-Trump enthusiast who shares her idols fondness for xenophobia and conspiracy theories (in her world view 9/11 was an inside job) showed herself to be a modern-day Rasputin by persuading the weak-minded, stable genius American Duce wannabe in the White House that several of his officials in the National Security Agency were disloyal to him and should be removed, including General Timothy Haugh, the head of U.S. Cyber Command.
Other NSA/NSC firings included "Brian Walsh, a director for intelligence; Thomas Boodry, a senior director for legislative affairs; and David Feith, a senior director for technology and national security."
This is the latest in a series of moves this gang of mental defectives has made to weaken this nation's defenses while making the leaders of Russia (who did not get hit with tariffs while Penguins did in Trump's trade war) and China very happy.
Reacting to the firing of General Haugh and the others, Arizona Senator Mark Kelly posted:
In a report by the New York Times, Senator Angus King reacted to the firing by offering:
“I predict you are going to see some nonsense statement about some policy difference or something General Haugh wasn’t doing, but we all know what happened. Laura Loomer said it. She is the one who told Trump to fire him...“Our country is under attack right now in cyberspace, and the president has just removed our top general from the field for no reason at the recommendation of someone who knows nothing about national security or even the job this general does."
Republican, former Senate Leader, and Trump Enabler (despite how much Trump despised his wife and him) Mitch McConnell commented:
“If decades of experience in uniform isn’t enough to lead the N.S.A. but amateur isolationists can hold senior policy jobs at the Pentagon, then what exactly are the criteria for working on this administration’s national security staff?”
Jim Himes, the ranking member of the House Intelligence Committee, relayed:
“I fear this is just the hourly installment in the Laura Loomer clown car aspect of this administration...Given this administration’s break-it-first-then-fix-it style of operating, I am concerned it is not the low performers or obsolete skill sets that are being fired. In many cases, it is some of our most valuable people. And this very directly makes us less safe.”
The influence of Rasputin on the Romanov Royal Family paved the way for Two Revolutions, the creation of the Soviet Union, its breakup, and the rise of Putin.
