With the President doing a quasi-embrace of Roy Moore today, Democrats and Progressives have another opportunity to contrast themselves with the organization that was once the Republican Party. To that end, Democrats and Progressives need to hold no punches, make sure each accusation has merit when campaigning against alt right candidates, and, if necessary, usher public servants in the Democratic Party out the door who are proven to have severely crossed the line. As earlier posts have relayed, we can not have a tribal system where one side protects their own yet chastizes the other group when one of their own commits a similar offense. There can be no double standards. If there is, Democrats are no better than them. Democrats and Progressives only win with the American People if they offer an alternative they can embrace whether it is with the economy or foreign affairs or what direction they want to take the country or the moral leadership they want to project.
