More evidence (like any was needed) that the Republican Party has reverted to a reactionary-McCarthyite party that draws on the fears and ignorance of the gullible, preys on the prejudices of the vulnerable, pursues policies that benefit them individually and compromise our Democratic Republic. Democrats need to build on 2018, unite under a common program, win the Senate and Presidency in 2020, enact a pragmatic progressive program (by eliminating the filibuster and stacking the courts if necessary) and never getting complacent for future elections.
