Targeting both military family and Florida voters, the Lincoln Project has released two new ads designed to reduce Donald Trump's support in both demographics.
The first ad, in coordination with Vote Vets.org, called "American Family" shows Mrs. and Colonel Alexander Vindman striking back against the abuses Donald Trump inflicted on them and the country.
In the ad, the Vindmans recount the hardest episodes of Colonel Vindman's military career (his injury in a war zone and testimony before the House Impeachment Committee.)
Mrs. Vindman then told the viewers:
"The first time I felt threatened was just after Alex's testimony. The most powerful man in the world came after our family. But what happened to us, can happen to anyone."
She went on, saying:
"We've received thousands of letters of support. America is so much better than Donald Trump but he can cost this nation so much more with four more years."
Indeed.
Colonel Vindman, concluded, stating:
"This is America. This is the country I've served and defended. Here, right matters."
It should.
The second ad called "Swamp" shows how the stupidity of Donald Trump and Florida Gators Coach Dan Mullen on not treating the Coronavirus seriously could lead to disastrous results.
The ad starts with footage of a crowded Ben Griffith Stadium, home of the Florida Gators and known as the Swamp.
The narrator then tells the viewers that Gators Head Coach Dan Mullen, "following the example of Donald Trump...demands 90,000 fans pack the stadium this weekend for the big game against LSU."
The narrator then noted the obvious.
This was a bad idea given the severity of the COVID 19 pandemic and over 200,000 people dying.
Unfortunately, 21 Florida Gator players, perhaps following Mullen's casual attitude towards the Coronavirus, have tested positive for COVID 19.
That, fortunately, led to the postponement of the Gators/LSU Game.
The narrator concludes the ad with:
"So many people voted for Trump because he promised to drain the swamp. And because of his failure, the swamp is drained. Of not just fans but of football itself."
Election Day is in 17 Days.
