If you are a member of any of the governments of America's enemies like Russia, China, or Iran, you are probably buying stock in the former Party of Lincoln aka the Republican Party.
Arguably since the Reagan Era, Republican economic, foreign, and cultural policies have made the United States less united, safe, and prosperous.
That has undoubtedly made America's enemies very happy.
When has the American economy fared poorest over the last 40 years?
Generally, it has been during Republican Administrations.
The severest recessions (Reagan in 1982, Bush I in 1991, Bush II in 2008, and stable genius Trump in 2020) all occurred during Republican Administrations. Historically, with the exception of 1980, all the recessions since 1950 have started during a Republican Administration.
So much for them being the Party of Economic Stewardship.
To those that still cheer the Reagan Economic Revolution, readers remember that the gulf between the rich and everyone else started to widen in this period while personal and national debt, fueled in part by the abundance of easy credit card applications, tax cuts that favored the wealthy, and a national defense buildup, started to explode during that Administration.
When did 9/11 occur?
During the Republican Bush II Administration?
Which Administration took us into an unjustified war in Iraq in 2003?
The Bush II Administration again.
Which Administration botched the reaction to the Coronavirus?
The Trump Administration.
Which political party has worked to suppress the right to vote?
The Republican one.
Which political party is denying the science of the COVID pandemic and encouraging its own Know-Nothing members to not mask up, take the Coronavirus vaccine, get sick, and die?
Not the Democratic one.
Which political party's fringe fiscal policies have caused five government shutdowns since 1995 and a markdown of the countries credit rating?
The Party of Newt, Moscow Mitch, Enabling Kevin, and the twice impeached Stable Genius.
The enemies of the United States must be gleeful that they have a willing participant in the American political system (the former party of Lincoln) that is damaging the strength and stability of America for them.
Now, it looks as though the Party of America's enemies, led by Enemies of the People Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy, is going to put the United States economic system through another shock by not supporting a rise in the nation's debt limit.
As other writers have relayed, the debt limit does not have to do with the Biden/Harris Administration's plans for the economy. It has to do with paying bills already incurred by the government like the Trump-Republican tax cuts and the COVID 19 rescue packages.
Of course, Moscow Mitch and his merry band of extremist-know nothing traitors are doing the bidding of America's enemies by threatening the economic stability of the country while still in the midst of a pandemic.
It is a shame for the country voters in Kentucky, given obstructionist in chief McConnell's track record, inexplicably returned him to the Senate in the 2020 elections.
Trump was stupid and repulsive.
McConnell, in contrast, is an able political sociopath who cares for no one, not in the top one percent and exemplifies the worst in public service.
Do not be surprised if there is another government shutdown at the end of the month.
If it does happen, do not put the blame on the Biden/Harris Administration.
Put the blame solely where it belongs.
The sore losers of 2020.
The traitors in the Party of America's Enemies.
