Republicans Now Claim to be the Party of the Working Class; Time to Put Their Policies Where Their Mouths Are

In the recent election, many working class voters shifted their votes to the Trump/Vance ticket with the belief that their positions were more aligned with theirs.

It is now time for Trump/Vance to present their agenda for working class voters that will help lift them up.

Will it include:

  • A rise in the federal minimum wage?
  • Paid family and medical leave?
  • An expansion of the Earned Income and Child Tax Credits?
  • A doubling of apprenticeships for good paying blue and green collar jobs.?
  • Plans to make housing affordable?
  • Stimulus for small business start ups?
  • Increased Tax Credits or other funding to send children to child care or pre-school?
  • An increase in Pell Grants?
  • Going after price gougers engaged in massive corporate greed?
  • Expanding the prescription drug benefit to non seniors.

During the campaign, the Trump/Vance ticket, outside of a call to eliminate taxes on tips and overtime (which honestly probably had a lot of appeal,) did not present an agenda for working class people.

It is time for Trump/Vance and those Republicans that subscribe to be for the working class to present their agenda, in addition to their tax ideas, to help them.

it is time to put their policies where their mouths are and deliver for the people that put their trust in them.

Let us see if they deliver.
