Musk and Trump Want to Make China and Global Disinformation Great Again For Themselves
When "President" Elon Musk and his puppet sidekick Donald Trump talk about making America Great Again, what they are really saying is Make America Great Again for our personal bottom line.
With Trump, along with his boss, Musk coming back to the White House, spineless political and corporate leaders, knowing where their bottom line is likely to be buttered these next four years, are bending the knee to the failed former President while also making donations to their inaugural and making reservations at Trump properties.
During his first term, Mr. Trump's various businesses took in almost eight million dollars in foreign payments.
After investing over $200 million in Trump's campaign, "President" Musk appears to be looking into the prospect of using his influence to enrich his financial ledger further.
But yeah, let's try to connect the dots on a useless years long investigation into Joe Biden and Burisma that have yielded...wait for it...nothing except a guilty plea from the Republicans informant for disinformation on the matter.
Enriching themselves and promoting more avenues for the spread of global disinformation were undoubtedly hidden reasons for both Musk and Trump to protest the original bipartisan budget agreement both men torpedoed last week before a revised funding measure passed through Congress meant to avoid a shutdown.
The original agreement contained provisions to restrict United States led companies from helping China achieve global technological superiority.
"President" Musk and other soon to be members of the Musk/Trump Administration, with their allegiance to power and the all mighty dollar, have extensive corporate ties to Chinese technology interests and that measure magically disappeared from the budget legislation.

So much for making America Great Again for all Americans. When they say it, it is make America Great Again for our bank accounts and personal influence. If China bests the United States in the technology revolution...so what.
Another measure that disappeared from the budget agreement was funding for the State Departments Global Engagement Center.
That entity, organized in 2016, was designed to detect and warn about global disinformation efforts from adversaries like Russia and China.
MAGA Republicans, whose political milk and talking points are provided by misinformation sources like Musk, Trump, and many of global misinformation venues, cried foul, screaming censorship and that the government was surveilling Americans (translation: potential foreign agents and criminals who are on our side.)
So with whining from Musk and Trump, provisions to restrict helping authoritarian Chinese technology interests and curb global disinformation efforts were stripped from a funding bill to give power cushions and financial gain to people, including Musk and Trump, who do not give a damn about American Safety and Greatness.
Only themselves.
People really need to read Sinclair Lewis's It Can't Happen Here because, news flash, it is.
People, through their representatives, need to prepare and peacefully oppose any Anti-American and Anti-Humane measure that the Musk/Trump Administration will try to impose on the American People and the country.
Biden/Harris Administration Sets New 2035 Climate Targets for The Clean Energy Revolution They Have Unleashed
It will probably be bad news if readers see a headline like this from the incoming Musk/Trump/Vance Administration.
That said, the Biden/Harris Administration announcement of a new climate target for the United States: a 61-66 percent reduction in 2035 from 2005 levels in economy-wide net greenhouse gas emissions should be met with enthusiasm from everyone in the country who cares about the air we breathe, the water we drink, the Earth we walk on, and the clean energy revolution the Biden/Harris Administration and their allies at the state and local level have unleashed.
According to a White House statement:
"This 2035 NDC aligns with President Biden’s target of a net zero greenhouse gas economy no later than 2050 and marks an ambitious capstone to President Biden’s climate legacy, focused on investment, innovation, creating millions of good-paying and union jobs, building the clean energy economy of the future, reducing costs for all Americans, advancing environmental justice, and improving the health and security of communities across America. There are multiple paths to reach these targets, and U.S. Federal, state, local, territorial, and Tribal governments have numerous tools available to work with civil society and the private sector to mobilize investment in the years ahead while supporting a stronger, fairer economy."
In a video statement announcing the new target, President Joe Biden said:
"I'm proud that my Administration is carrying out the boldest climate agenda in American History...By setting standards to cut pollution on cars and trucks and power plants, and by signing into law the most significant investments in climate ever in the history of the world. That's why I'm proud to announce an ambitious new goal to cut greenhouse emissions by more than 60 percent by 2035. That's leading to more good-paying jobs, more affordable energy, cleaner air, cleaner water, healthier environment for everyone...We're unleashing American ingenuity and innovation...Together, we're going to turn this existential threat into a once-in-a-generation opportunity to transform our nation for generations to come. I know we can do this. We're the United States of America. There's nothing beyond our capacity if we work together."
In the White House Statement, the Administration cited various examples of how state and local governments are doing their part to carry out the clean energy revolution.
In Arizona, the White House noted:
"(Arizona) has added over 370,000 new jobs, and unleashed more than $120 billion in private-sector investment. Investments include $5.5 billion to build a battery facility outside Phoenix that will produce batteries for 350,000 electric vehicles per year."
Commenting on social media about the Biden/Harris Administration announcement, Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego wrote:
"Phoenix is ready to do our part, advancing clean energy and reducing emissions to build a healthy, sustainable future for our community. President Biden’s goal to cut greenhouse gas emissions by more than 60% by 2035 sets the standard for the urgent action we need."
With the investments at the federal, state, and local levels in all parts of the United States, including largely Republican ones that welcome the green and blue-collar jobs that are being created in these sectors, and the price of clean energy products falling, the White House concluded their statement with:
"In the years to come, leadership will come from all across American society – cities and states, Tribes and territories, small and big businesses, working communities, individual Americans and the private sector working together to seize the economic opportunity, create jobs, and build the clean energy economy. This new clean energy economy, enabled by the forward-looking policies of this Administration, will continue to grow – and the United States will continue to create good jobs and cut carbon pollution right here at home."
For those who care about Climate Change and converting to clean energy, the Biden/Harris Administration will be missed.
