In order to appeal to their base of the one percent, the Republicans in the Senate have decided to include a provision that repeals the Individual Mandate from the Affordable Care Act. Apparently, they need the money to fund their tax cut for the rich under the deficit allowances of the Senate Rules. If they pull this off, it is probably time to campaign for Medicare for All. With recent election results, Democrats may have the wind at their backs if they can put a program together that appeals to the majority of the country.
