There has been some discussion if Democrats should be civil with Republicans even as the dying party of Lincoln conducts a scorched Earth policy lying about where they stand and making libelous and slanderous comments about the opposition. The answer is obvious. Democrats need to fight back. This link from the West Wing is illustrative. It is amazing because this clip is close to 20 years old. Democrats have to learn. When you are dealing with vile animals, you treat them like vile animals. That is what they understand and the people will support you if it is done in a tasteful and appropriate fashion. As Bill Clinton said "It is better to be strong and wrong rather than weak and right." Democrats and Progressives need to be strong and right. That is a winning combination.
