What happens with Roe vs Wade?

For a party that champions individual rights, Republicans are strangely big government on restricting a woman's right to choose. Personally, I am pro-life except in case of rape, when the mother's life is in danger r if the child will be born with severe medical issues that will make living a near impossibility. That said, I do not have the appetite, nor should others, of playing God with people's lives or choices. Roe vs Wade should stay the law of the land so these legal procedures are performed in safe medical facilities and greater options for birth control should be made more accessible so unwanted pregencies would be increasingly rare. For those individuals that are so pro-life, why not champion a new cause like getting rid of the death penalty. In those instances, innocent people have been mistakenly executed for crimes either they did not commit or their mental or emotional stability has come into question. There is a cause for life they should commit themselves to.
