Should Ralph Northam resign over a stupid and grotesque picture he at first admitted to taking 35 years ago? His press conference yesterday did not help his cause and may have only reinforced calls that he resign. What should stop is the immediate piling on these individuals when these incidents occur by partisans and pundits until all the facts and circumstances are established. These people should still consider how Northam has conducted himself in his professional and personal life outside that picture. We become mob rule complete with torches and pitchforks if we do not handle these matters in a careful and prudent fashion.
