If the Democrats can get good candidates, have a vibrant pragmatic progressive program, and show they can stand up to the Popular Vote Loser/Individual One, they should have an excellent chance at retaking the Senate. Remember everything is for naught if the Democrats can not take back the Senate (even if they win the House and Presidency).
