In Case You Missed It, the Jobs Market is Doing Better and Republicans in Congress had Nothing to Do With It

For the people that think Bidenomics is not working, they should read the October jobs report and the revised ones for August and September.

Over half a million jobs (531,000) were created in October.

The unemployment rate went from 4.8 to 4.6 percent.

Job creation numbers for August and September were revised upward by a total of about 250,000 positions.

While there are still a little over four million fewer jobs than when the COVID 19 Pandemic struck, President Joe Biden hailed the jobs report, telling the nation:

"Thanks to the economic plan we’ve put through in Congress earlier this year and a successful vaccine deployment, America continues to add jobs at a record pace. In this historically strong recovery, the unemployment rate has fallen again today down to 4.6 percent. This included a substantial drop in unemployment for Hispanics, which was much needed. Our economy is on the move. This morning, we learned that in October, our economy created 531,000 jobs — well above expectations. We also learned that job growth over the prior two months, August and September, was nearly 250,000 more jobs than previously thought. In total, the job creation in the first full nine months of my administration is about 5.6 million new jobs — a record for any new President. That’s a monthly average of over 60,000 [600,000] new jobs each month — 10 times more than the job creation at three months before I took office."

The President credited the actions the Biden/Harris Administration took along with the Democrats in Congress in passing the American Rescue Plan and conducting the Coronavirus Vaccination efforts.

Remember, no Republicans in Congress voted for the American Rescue Plan, and some of them have made COVID 19 levels in this nation worse by actively preaching opposition to mask and vaccine mandates.

Mr. Biden then reminded the people that the COVID and jobs crisis was not over and more needed to be done.

He then outlined the steps the Biden/Harris Administration were taking and calling for, explaining:

"We still have to tackle the costs that American families are facing. But this recovery is faster, stronger, and fairer, and wider than almost anyone could have predicted. That’s what the numbers say. But we want to make sure that people continue to feel it in their lives, in their bank accounts, in their hopes and expectations for a tomorrow that’s better than today. That’s what this is all about: making sure our recovery is fully felt. To determine that depends on two things — two things that are entirely within our reach. The first: For our economy to fully recover, we need to keep driving vaccinations up and COVID down. In that effort, we took two major steps this week. On Tuesday, the CDC recommended COVID-19 vaccine for children between the ages of 5 and 11...And yesterday, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration –- OSHA –- issued a rule to require employers with 100 or more employees to ensure that each of their workers is fully vaccinated or tests negative for COVID-19 at least once a week. And the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services issued a rule requiring that all workers at healthcare facilities participating in Medicare and Medicaid are fully vaccinated."

"The second way to make sure recovery is fully felt is to pass our bipartisan — my bipartisan infrastructure agreement and my Build Back Better plan, which are being debated now. And I’m going to be heading over there quickly — shortly after I do this press con- — back to my office to make some calls. I want to say very clearly: If your number one issue is the cost of living, the number one priority should be seeing Congress pass these bills. The second way to make sure recovery is fully felt is to pass our bipartisan — my bipartisan infrastructure agreement and my Build Back Better plan, which are being debated now. And I’m going to be heading over there quickly — shortly after I do this press con- — back to my office to make some calls. I want to say very clearly: If your number one issue is the cost of living, the number one priority should be seeing Congress pass these bills...That’s in addition to the infrastructure bill that will create millions of jobs rebuilding the arteries of our economy. And, by the way, these two bills add up to the largest effort to combat climate change in the history of the United States of America."

Again, it is important to stress that Republicans have had no part in the passage of the American Rescue Plan.

They voted against:

  • $1400 checks to the American People.
  • Child Tax Credits that have reduced child poverty.
  • Expanded health care subsidies.
  • Providing aid to cities, towns, law enforcement, first responders, and public schools.
  • Expanded unemployment payments.

Historically, Republicans have always taken the wrong side on the legislation to benefit the American People. Remember the Clinton/Gore Economic Plan? Remember Obamacare?

Remember that members of the Republican Party have obstructed efforts to effectively tackle the Coronavirus.

Remember that members of the Republican Party took part in the organization of the January 6, 2021, Domestic Terrorist attack at the Nation's Capitol.

Remember that virtually all Republicans are trying to suppress your right to vote, alter election outcomes that they do not agree with, and take away women and minority rights.

Who in their right mind would vote for vermin like that?

Democrats need to improve their messaging game to the American People.

It should not be that hard.
