In their Latest Ad "Protect America," the Lincoln Project Calls on Voters to Elect People that Will Save American Democracy

 Another week.

Another issue ad and warning from the ad creators and producers of the Lincoln Project.

This week, the subject is Protecting American Democracy in the ad "Protect America."

In the ad, the narrator points out that the drive to expand voting rights through the American Experience has been hard and difficult.

But it moved forward toward "the more perfect union with justice and liberty for all" with the franchise was extended to the people without property, minorities and women over the last two centuries.

The narrator then describes the current movement in the Trumpist wing of the Republican Party (with pictures of the events at the Nations Capitol on January 6, 2021) that "wants to take us back," citing the 147 Republicans who wanted to overturn Joe Biden's legitimate 2020 Presidential Election and the efforts of the former Party of Lincoln to make voting harder in 19 of the states they control.

The narrator continues with:

"They (the Trumpist Republicans) want us to look away, not pay attention while they steal what so many Americans died to protect. This is how Democracies die. There aren't good people on both sides in this fight."

The narrator concludes:

"In 2022, Democracy is on the ballot. Vote for the Americans that want to protect America."

There is a banner at the end that states: "Join the Fight."

The producers at the Lincoln Project are right.

This is a fight to save American Democracy and the soul of the country.

There are no good people on both sides of this fight.

The people that embrace the authoritarian tendencies of the Trumpist version of governance (many of whom are the same individuals that would take away a woman's right to choose, would allow guns on school grounds, enable science deniers to not take the COVID 19 vaccine, and are against helping people in distress) need to be defeated at the polls in 2022, 2024, and beyond.

Vote for the people (Democrats and pro Democracy Republicans) that will embrace the American Ideal and not consign it to history.

Turn out and vote to save Democracy and the soul of the nation.

Democracy will die if you do not do so.

Do your part.
