This Halloween, AZ Republican Candidates are Creepy, Kooky, and Spooky

Looking at the polls from a personal perspective, it is shocking that the polls in Arizona show tight races for virtually all the statewide offices and in some cases, the Republicans have small leads.

How are these races so close? Democrats should not even have to campaign because the published positions of these Arizona Trump Republican Candidates are so bad for the people, their civil rights (including reproductive freedom and voting,) the economy, schools, law enforcement, the environment, and the Constitution.

These Trump Republicans are the walking definition of the Adam's Family Theme song this Halloween Season. Virtually all of them are "creepy, kooky, and spooky."

Trumpers and MAGAs showed how they plan to govern on Jan. 6.[/caption]

This field of Arizona Republican candidates is filled with Trumpist election deniers, posterboards for government figures from The Handmaid's Tale, fact-based illiterates, white nationalists and fascists, fiscal and law and order freeloaders and hypocrites, secessionists, and tolerators of sexual predators.

Take the Trump Republican nominee for Governor Kari Lake. She is on video saying the F.B.I. should be dismantled and it may be necessary to secede from the federal government. That is in addition to her remarks claiming the Arizona abortion ban is a great law and that women are not equal to men. Her prescriptions for helping the state economy and solving the water crisis have been derided by objective observers. Finally, she has said she would only accept the election results if she wins. How gracious!

Fringe viewpoints

Then there is the Election Denying Trump Republican Nominee for the Senate, Blake Masters. He is on record saying abortion is part of a demonic cult. He must share the same brain waves as the equally fringe, election-denying Wendy Rogers who thinks COVID vaccines are the mark of the beast. Masters is also on record as wanting to do away with Social Security and Medicare. That should make the many retirees in the Grand Canyon state feel safe and secure.

The third example of the creepiness, kookiness, and spookiness of these Republican candidates is Mark Finchem, the nominee for Secretary of State. A known election denier who spends his time peddling conspiracy theories and saying Mike Pence committed a coup against Donald Trump by not decertifying the electoral college votes in the battleground states, he has a lot of explaining to do about what he was doing walking close to the steps of the Nation's Capitol while the Domestic Terrorist buddies of his that he helped invite to Washington D.C. were storming Congress. The truth hurt so much that his team has had the audacity to ask the Adrian Fontes Campaign and all social media outlets to stop airing ads that tell the truth about his involvement on January 6, 2021.

The Trump Republican Nominee for Attorney General Abe Hamadeh is so devoid of respect for law and order that he has no problem doing broadcasts with Steve Bannon, the white nationalist fringe figure who was just convicted to four months in prison for obstruction of Congress. He also likes to hang out with Party Chairperson Kelly "I'll Take the Fifth Amendment" Ward. I guess Hamadeh, who wants to, you know, enforce the law, does not think that is a big deal. What he does think is a big deal is following the guidance of the discredited D'Souza farce, "2000 Mules" and prosecuting people for fictitious crimes they did not commit in the last election. This is especially lubricious given that he is the one suspected of voter fraud. He also has no problem enforcing the abortion ban and arresting all health professionals involved in safeguarding women's health and reproductive freedom, even in cases of rape, incest, and serious child deformity.

Republican is a liar

Tom Horne has shown he is not fit to become Superintendent of Public Instruction again because of his embrace of convicted sexual predator David Stringer. This coupled with his vote to reinstate the teaching certificate of an individual who confessed to watching porn in the classroom, lying about test scores, and fear-mongering (along with many fringe school board candidates) about the nonexistent critical race theory,) should dissuade voters from letting this person shape young minds ever again. Someone should also ask Horne what he thinks of Randy Kaufman, the now withdrawn Trump Republican candidate for Maricopa County Community College who was arrested for masturbating yards away from a Pre-School.

The Trump Republicans for Congress and the State Legislature are no better than the statewide candidates. None of the current delegations have lifted a voting finger to help lift Arizonans up or move the state forward.

Republicans vote against good bills

Vote for COVID vaccines? No, our science-denying base would not accept that.

Vote to help fund law enforcement, first responders, and local governments during the pandemic? No! David Schweikert has also recently gone on record supporting the dismantling of the F.B.I.

Vote to fund schools? Maybe but private school vouchers should take precedence. Also, banning books and teaching the inaccurate white emphasis on United States History is cool.

Vote to improve the state's infrastructure? The Arizona Trump Republican Congressional Delegation said no to that and the high-paying blue and green-collar jobs that come with it. They have no problem asking for the funds to help projects in their districts though.

Vote for the CHIPS Act to bring high-paying technical jobs to the state? The Trump Republicans in the Arizona Congressional Delegation said no to that too.

Vote to reduce Inflation, cut the costs for Prescription Drugs, and invest in combatting climate change so we can still breathe the air and drink the water? No way, said the Arizona Trump Republicans.

Vote for the first gun safety legislation in 30 years. No to that as well but yeah, we support law enforcement and do not want any more school shootings.

Vote for government programs to help small businesses? No except for freeloaders like Congressional Candidate Kelly Cooper who was for government PPP loans for himself but not for everybody else.

Vote for real tax breaks like the Child Tax Credit for the poor and middle class? No, because they are not rich enough to get a tax break.

Vote to reduce the deficit? No! It should be noted that the only times the deficits have gone down is during the Democratic Administrations of Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden. Job Growth is strongest in Democratic Administrations in that time span too. That, along with supply chain issues, corporate greed, the Russian invasion of Ukraine, and the oil production-cutting schemes of Putin and MBS are why inflation is up.

]

By the way, Republicans may moan and groan about inflation but they have no plan to combat it. Their only economic plan is to cut taxes for the rich. Look how well that has turned out for the country and Arizona so far. Look what happened to the soon-to-be-retired British Primeminister who caused Britain's markets to crash with a similar outlandish proposal.

Vote to codify Roe V Wade? No!

Vote to codify Same-Sex Marriage? No again!

Vote to protect and expand voting rights? Why should we help people that will not vote for us?

Again, it is astounding that these Arizona Trump Republicans (and national ones too,) with this record of doing everything humanly possible to destroy people, the state, the country, Democracy, the Republic, Civil Rights, and the Constitution are this close in the polls.

Democrats have a good story to tell the voters and they have been telling it.

Please go to the websites of the Democratic candidates including Katie HobbsKris MayesKathy HoffmanSandra Kennedy, Lauren KubyMark KellyAdrian Fontes, and Martin Quezada, and look at their plans for lifting people up and moving the state forward. These are the ideas and proposals of people, up and down the ballot, you want to have in government.

It is up to the voters to get informed, turn out, and make the right decision by November 8 to help the state, help the people, and help themselves.

It is time for all voters to step up and, on election day, defeat these creepy, kooky, and spooky Trump Republican candidates at the ballot box and send them home where they can, hopefully, do no more damage to society and the American Republic.
