The programs we take for granted today like Civil Rights, the Peace Corp (a Humphrey idea the Kennedys built on) Medicare and Headstart would not have been possible if not for the progressive values of these two men. People do need to remember while the Kennedy's knew how to project an image, it was Johnson and Humphrey that was able to get most of the results.
