Democrats and Progressives need to remember the big prize on Tuesday. Unite, do not whine.

You would not know it from Washington Pundits but Democrats have actually had a good political year. They outperformed at the Representative level and won many local seats that were once held by Republicans. Their opposition also stopped the repeal of Obamacare. Pundits also seem to forget that Hillary Clinton won the popular vote last year and would have won the Presidency if not for the Comey letter and frankly the idiotic whining of voters who rewarded Republican obstructionism towards the very measures Barrack Obama and the Democrats tried to enact on their behalf by letting a billionaire huckster eke out small victories in Michigan, Pennsylvania, Florida, and Wisconsin. It is that very danger of idiotic whiny voters that feel government has not helped them enough that threatens would could be a Democratic sweep on Tuesday night. Democrats are on pace to win the trifecta of the New York Mayors office, the New Jersey Governorship, and the Virginia Governorship. There are also measures such as Medicaid expansion in Maine. The Virginia race is the closet and it should not be as the Republican Candidate, Ed Gillespie is channeling all the ugliness of the Trump playbook. The Democratic Candidate is the current Lieutenant Governor to a successful Democratic Governor. He is also a veteran and practicing physician. Why is this race close? Even if the Democratic Candidate, Ralph Northam, was comatose, he should be coasting to a win. Republicans in Virginia, like the rest of the country, have no fresh and workable ideas to move the country forward. People who are progressive or Democrat who do not vote on Tuesday because their candidate is not liberal enough will have no one to blame but themselves. This lack of participation hurt Democrats in 2010 and 2014. Ask yourself people, did you make the country better by not voting in those elections? If you do not do your civic duty and vote, then we might as well give the country to the Alt Right. It is time to unite, stop whining, and vote.
