It is not robbing the Rich to pay for the poor

The United States Economy has been at its best during periods when the affluent paid more in taxes and our social justice policies protected the poor and expanded the middle class. It has never been at its best when tax giveaways to the wealthy have been implemented. Raising taxes on the rich so investments can be made in schools, infrastructure, good paying jobs, green technology, and the social safety net will create a more vibrant economy and not contract it. This has been proven in periods throughout history and this is a worthy platform Progressives can run on against reactionary conservative forces.
