The Path to Universal Health Care is getting paved.
With Virginia passing Medicaid expansion and a Judge in Maine ordering the Governor there to implement a voter-passed Medicaid expansion bill, two more states will be expanding health care options to their citizens under the Affordable Care Act.
Four more reliably Red States (Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, and Utah) are looking into ways to expand Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act now that the law does not look like it is going anywhere in its current incarnation.
Six other states (Iowa, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey and Washington) are considering passing legislation that would enable their residents to buy insurance through Medicaid like it was a regular insurance program (dare we call it a public option).
The Path to Universal Health Care is getting paved.
We should just let nature and inertia take its course and mostly everyone may be covered within a few years.
