The decision to withdraw troops from Syria is premature. Look at Afganistan. Look at Iraq. There is no perfect solution to the Twenty-First Centuries version of the Balkans. There is no guarantee that a continued United States presence will maintain order. Again, look at Afganistan. Look at Iraq. Look at Yemen. Look at the Horn of Africa. Unfortunately, all hell will break loose and the region will become totally inflamed in both a Shitte-Sunni Civil War and battle for the soul of Islam if we do totally pull out. Saying we will train local forces has not worked yet in Afganistan and Iraq. We still have forces in Europe and Asia 73 years after the end of World War Two. It is unfortunate but the United States needs to maintain a presence in the Middle East and Africa for a while longer. The world needs us despite what Mr. America First popular vote loser says.
