Quisling House Republicans Launch the Birth of a Nation Caucus

Movie buffs and political historians recognize the title of the 1915 DW Griffith film The Birth of a Nation.

Originally titled the Clansman, the film, while an acknowledged triumph in filmmaking, wrongly stereotyped black people as ignorant, manipulative, and predators of white women. It also falsely glorified the racist Ku Klux Klan as a force for good and protectors of southern culture.

Today (April 16, 2021,) Majorie Taylor Greene and some of her Quisling House Republican-Election Denying-Trump Zone Soulmates have decided to form the equivalent of a Birth of a Nation caucus by launching an Anglo Saxon-Trumpist glorification group called America First.

Along with Taylor Greene, fellow Quisling, Ethically Challenged, Mentally Impaired, and Trump Zone Republicans like Matt Gaetz, Louie Gohmert, Paul Gosar, and Barry Moore are fellow founding members of this group.

The legally embattled Gaetz (the one who has been linked the last few weeks to accusations of sex trafficking) tweeted:

"I'm proud to join @mtgreenee in the #AmericaFirst Caucus. We will end wars, stop illegal immigration & promote trade that is fair to American workers. This is just a hit piece from the America Last crowd in Big Media, Big Tech & Big Government."

According to reporting from the Washington Post, the program for this America First Caucus will include:

  • Advancing Donald Trump's "legacy" (and probably cult of personality.)
  • All immigration should be paused.
  • Non-Anglo Saxon Immigrants should be assimilated to Anglo Saxon Ways through the education system.
  • Infrastructure programs "that reflect “the architectural, engineering and aesthetic value that befits the progeny of European architecture, whereby public infrastructure must be utilitarian as well as stunningly, classically beautiful, befitting a world power and source of freedom.”
  • Criticizing foreign aid.
  • The reaction to the threats of the Coronavirus is overblown.

While Democrats have predictably condemned this possible new caucus, Republican House leadership, perhaps seeing its goals of gaining control of that chamber evaporating with each passing second, were quick to do so as well.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, in reporting from Politico, tweeted:

“America is built on the idea that we are all created equal and success is earned through honest, hard work. It isn’t built on identity, race, or religion. The Republican Party is the party of Lincoln & the party of more opportunity for all Americans—not nativist dog whistles.”

Liz Cheney, the House Republican Conference Chair also responded, via social media:

“Racism, nativism, and anti-Semitism are evil. History teaches we all have an obligation to confront & reject such malicious hate.”

According to the Washington Post and social media, Illinois Representative Adam Kinzinger tweeted:

While this political schism is a potential 2022 and 2024 election gift to Democrats (most of whom are probably launching fundraisers based on the formation of this grotesque caucus,) House leadership (of both parties preferably) should quickly take Kinzinger's advice and strip these UnAmerican white nationalist traitors of any committee seats or party roles.

If McCarthy and the other leading Republicans falter in carrying out their oaths, Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats should do the job for them.

To be honest, it should have been done to all these people after January 6, 2021, when they showed their loyalty to the domestic terrorists who stormed the Nation's Capitol and the individual then residing in the White House who encouraged them.

The American Democratic Republic does not need the cancer personified by these people who founded this Birth of a Nation Caucus to fester any longer in the hallowed halls of Congress.

Kick them out now.
