Bill Maher is right: Democrats and Progressives have to fight to get the people back and they need to come together and forge ahead.

Bill Maher is right: Democrats and Progressives can not just wait for Donald Trump to be indicted. They can't just rely on his poor poll numbers. Remember he won and still lost the popular vote. They need to band together and become a constructive and VOCAL opposition party, not like the obstructionist Republicans of the Clinton and Obama years where the word NO was all they knew and when it came time to govern, they borrowed the line from the Robert Redford movie "The Candidate" and collectively asked "What do we do now?"

Progressives and Democrats need to come together, centrists and liberals, and forge a common program that unites us and propels us to victory in the coming elections. Recent articles on the rise of a new centrist Democratic group called New Democracy to the rising consternation of the more liberal wing of the party will only serve to divide us and help Trump. We should come together as one, settle our differences, come up with a platform that we can all campaign on and plow forward. It is the only way to retake seats from the local school board to the Presidency in counties like Luzerne, Pennsylvania that went to Trump after decades of voting for Democrats. We can do it but the only way to do it is together.
