The President's latest target in his own party is Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell whose obstructionist strategy during the Merrick Garland nomination helped motivate conservatives to vote for Trump. The President feels McConnell should have delivered on repeal and replace Obamacare. That the President did not offer any ideas of his own and his deal-making skills did not work on a last ditch phone call to John McCain were not mentioned. That said, do not feel sorry for Mitch McConnell. This is a man who put his and his cliques own material interests over the people and our country. He did everything he could to stop Obama initiatives on Infrastructure and Clean Energy as well as the Merrick Garland nomination. As earlier posts indicate, he did not do anything in response to Russian meddling in our elections. He is also one of the masterminds who gave us Citizens United after Campaign Finance was passed. The sooner he is out of the Senate, along with those like him, the better for our country.
