The Gift that keeps on Giving is at it again: Is it time for President Pence?

Yesterday's meltdown of a Press Conference by the President was funny, bombastic, and tragic:

It was funny because the President said he wanted to wait for the facts before making any definitive statements regarding the events in Charlottesville. Given the first 200 days of this administration, that statement is both funny and ironic on its face, Since when has this President cared about facts. It was also funny when he made the ludicrous claim that the protestors were quietly protesting on Friday Night. Please click on the link below to see the Vice episode that contradicts this assertion.

It was bombastic because the President decided to make immature comments about John McCain because of his health care vote and for continually calling the reporters dishonest and purveyors of fake news.

It was tragic because this is the President of the United States and the symbol of all we cherish in our republic. That was not the case yesterday. When you make these comments in front of your Asian American Secretary of Transportation and Jewish American Economic advisors, it is tragic. It will be more tragic if those three do not resign. It is tragic when the former head of the Klu Klux Klan, after seeing this spectacle, tweets thank you to the President of the United States. It is tragic when the President gives a false equalivency between the Nazis/White Supremacists and Anti Fascists, saying there were good people on both sides with the bad and actually coming down more on the Anti Fascists because they did not have a permit. It was also tragic because of the President, echoing people who challenge how courses like Advanced Placement American History are written, said that statues of George Washington and Thomas Jefferson were threatened.

The President is the gift that keeps on giving for Progressives and Democrats. Let us hope they know what to do with it. He is single handily destroying the party of Lincoln and Republicans should start thinking about a way to make Mike Pence President or there will not be a Republican Party when this is over.
