Enemy of the People-Political Prince of Darkness-Obstructionist in Chief-Moscow Mitch McConnell finally said today (December 15, 2020) that Joe Biden is the President-Elect.
What is striking is that Mr. McConnell did not acknowledge reality when:
- The race was called for Joe Biden on November 7, 2020.
- The states certified their results.
- The Electoral College declared Mr. Biden the winner on December 14, 2020.
Mr. McConnell, and other numerous opportunities but publicly evaded the issue, even while other Republicans in leadership (John Thune, Roy Blunt, and John Cornyn) said Biden had won after the Electoral College.
It was only after Russia's Vladimir Putin congratulated Joe Biden that Moscow Mitch decided to congratulate President-Elect Biden and Vice President-Elect Harris.
Maybe readers should wonder if Putin is a patron of other American politicians in addition to Mr. Trump.
Remember it was Moscow Mitch that quashed Obama-Biden efforts to publicly announce Russian interference in the 2016 elections.
Remember it was Russian investors, who worked with former McConnell staffers, to secure a foothold in a Kentucky aluminum plant.
Maybe Moscow Mitch has another master in addition to the fringe plutocratic and reactionary interests he works for in this country.
This behavior is one more reason Democrats should rally to help Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff beat Kelly Loeffler and David Perdue in the Georgia Senate Runoff elections on January 5, 2021.
Moscow Mitch can not be the Senate Majority Leader ever again.
