On this eightieth anniversary of D-Day, the Biden/Harris Campaign released an ad called "Our Veterans" which showcased the support some of the nation's military has for President Joe Biden and the disdain they have for Donald Trump, who while in the Presidency, called dead soldiers "suckers" and "losers."
The ad starts off with one Marine Veteran Curtis Register commenting that "A good Commander in Chief is someone who gives a s--t." At an event where he was able to shake President Biden's hand, Register said the experience "was pretty impactful to me. To see an individual that supports troops, not just on the battlefield but when we return home. I think the election is the difference between authoritarianism and Democracy. And I came to see a President who cares about maintaining Democracy."
Another veteran, from the army, Ed McCabe said Trump was a person who "criticizes veterans. Who doesn't see it important for him to go to the funerals. He's a draft dodger. Simple as that. Donald Trump. He's not fit to be Commander in Chief. He's not fit to lead a squad and he's definitely not fit to be President of the United States."
A third veteran, Navy Pilot Matthew McLaughlin commented in the video "I see a man in Joe Biden who accepts accountability and responsibility, and when I see his predecessor, Donald Trump, I see a man who is in this for himself. Donald Trump has zero accountability in his life.
