Republicans J'Accuse Donald Trump of Treason to the Constitution

One of the marvels of the January 6, 2021, Committee on the Domestic Terrorist/Insurrectionist Attack on the Nation's Capitol is how the Democrats have left it mainly to the Republicans, many of whom Trump loyalists, to do the accusing and testifying against the twice impeached former President.

Witness after witness, either in person or on tape, have one thing in common. They all voted for and supported (unlike the majority of the nation) the Presidency of Donald Trump.

Cassidy Hutchinson, Ivanka Trump, Sarah Matthews, Pat Cipplone, Bill Barr, and many others in the Republican sphere are the ones that provided some of the most damning evidence against the twice popular vote loser Trump and his betrayal of the United States Constitution and his oath of office.

Even Trump's most devoted followers who testified to the committee like traitors Syndey Powell, Micheal Flynn, and Rudy Giuliani, inadvertently provided testimony that demonstrated the seditious intent of the twice KKK endorsed candidate.

They are the ones that exposed:

  • Trump's state of mind, actions, and reactions against the Constitution leading up to, during, and right after the attack on January 6, 2021.
  • How the insurrectionists were moved by every syllable in either a Trump comment or tweet on how to act on January 6, 2021.
  • How Mr. Trump was apparently perfectly willing to let the mob harm or even kill Mike Pence, Nancy Pelosi, or other members of Congress when he realized he was not going to get his way on stopping the certification of the Electoral College Vote.
  • How Mr. Trump did not tell his cult followers to go home until after he was told the National Guard and law enforcement reinforcements (called in there by Pence and Congressional leaders) were on their way to subdue them.
  • How Trump would not admit what his followers did was a crime or that the election was over. The outtakes from the speech he gave on January 7, 2022, are very revealing.

Readers should also be reminded that Democrats on the Committee have left it to the two Republican members (Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger) to ask all the damning questions and make the most profound statements.

For Republican operatives, like the fringe figure in the House Republican conference who forgot Ms. Matthews works for them in a tweet labeling her a Nancy Pelosi pawn, trying to characterize these witnesses as members of the liberal elite is ludicrous.

Donald Trump and the people who followed his orders regarding January 6, 2022, need to be charged by the Department of Justice for the crimes they committed.

The people who followed the twice impeached Mad King on January 6, 2021, should not be the only ones being tried and sentenced.

The Chief Executive Charlatan that fed them this Big Lie 2020 election nonsense along with his leading sycophant enablers deserves to face the judicial music as well.

Hopefully, the Justice Department will do what the law and history demand.

Hopefully and Trump will remember that it was his own people that put the legal nails in his coffin.
