What are they THINKING? How does the Trump Budget make us stronger?

How does the President's Budget Blueprint make up stronger?

How is our nation stronger when it proposes cuts programs (Meals on Wheels, School Lunches)  that feed its most vulnerable among the elderly and youth?

How is our nation stronger when it proposes cuts programs for medical research that goes towards cures for diseases and preventive medicine?

How is our nation stronger when it proposes cuts foreign aid whose funds help us in solidifying relations with our allies and countries that we want to keep in our camp?

How is our nation stronger when it proposes cuts environmental programs that keep our air, water, and land clean?

How is our nation stronger when it proposes cuts to agencies that promote our cultural heritage and access to public news?

How is our nation stronger when it proposes cuts to the Education and Health and Human Services Departments to the level where it was when Bill Clinton was the President?

How is our nation stronger when it proposes to fund a wall on our Southern Border when illegal immigration is at an all time low?

How is our nation stronger when it proposes a 54 billion dollar increase in our national defense when our camera shy Secretary of State came out and said that the reason for cuts to the State Department is because they anticipate less involvement in military conflicts.

The answer to these series of questions is it does not make us stronger. The majority of the people in this country did not vote for these ideas. Donald Trump did not win the popular vote. Hillary Clinton did. The Democrats gained seats in the House and Senate. There is no widespread support for these ideas. The people need to continue to rise up and let their representatives know it is not acceptable and to do better.
