Bannon is gone but the forces of darkness and stupidity could still influence this President

It is great news that Stephen Bannon is gone from the White House. With his departure, four of the top five original inner White House advisors (Chief of Staff Rance Priebus, National Security Advisor Michael Flynn and Press Secretary Sean Spicer) are all gone. That is an unprecedented record for any Presidential Administration. To put in modern historical perspective, when Presidents Roosevelt and Kennedy died, both their successors (Truman and Johnson) took steps to ensure their predecessors team were kept on to ensure a smooth transition to theirs. Maybe this new emerging White House team can govern effectively and move forward.

While Bannon's departure is a good sign, there are reasons to worry that the forces of darkness and stupidity may still have influence on the President. Stephen Miller and Sebastian Gorka are still in the White House. They should go. The President, as the below video link from Media Matters indicates, repeats the Fox News Networks talking points. That should stop. Steve Bannon is back at Breibart already and he has indicated that he will fight for what he tried to shape in the Trump White House. Let us hope Chief of Staff Kelly and the other members of the White House can steer the President away from that dark light. The country needs this to happen.
