People should call their local, state, and federal representatives and petition them to support the following measures that will help the American Worker:
1) A rise in the National Minimum Wage.
2) A rise in the Earned Income Tax Credit.
3) An increase in Pell Grants for college students.
4) Opportunities to buy into Medicare or Medicaid
5) Passage of a law that requires states to have a minimum wage that is tied to the state's standard of living but no less than the national minimum wage.
